The Tourist was such a piece of fluff that I'd forgotten I'd seen it the moment it ended. It's not funny or romantic enough to be considered a romcom or exciting enough to be a thriller and I saw the ending within the first few minutes. It is nice to look at though.

And am I completely alone in my opinion that Johnny Depp is not that great of an actor?

Stopped in my favorite used book store and found these. That's right FIFTEEN CENTS!!!!

Anyone else planning to watch this? I've made arrangements to crash my niece's HBO in order to catch it. Usually, I can wait for any movie or TV show, but I've been such a big fan of Martin for so long that I'm making an exception for this.

I'm halfway through Season 1 and while it is not a great show, it is fun to watch. It is about a motorcycle gang who run guns. The acting is solid, although Katey Sagal is a revelation as the matriarch of the gang, and the story interesting. I say it isn't great because it has a flaw that I can't look past; all these guys would be dead or in prison behaving the way they do. Plus it is more episodic than I care for these days.

I watched this yesterday and thought it quite good, albeit incredibly dark. I have not read the books so I don't know how they stack up against each other but the film was compelling.

Just finished Virgin ( my first e-book ) Thought I caught a couple of tie-ins. Is the church in Virgin the same as the boys home in Reborn? Also thought I read a little quip about a Septimus Order building.

I passed the 50-page mark on the first book of the Early Years trilogy. Moving along pretty well. Took me a while to get rolling because this callow, inexperienced Jack is an entirely different character from the guy I've been writing about all these years. But I'm getting more and more comfortable inside his head.

Today I saw The Fighter. I saw some boxing movies. Rocky, Raging Bull, Cinderella Man... and now, I can say "The Fighter" is one of the best boxing movies.

Christian Bale stole the show with his unforgettable performance in this drama. His acting deserve Oscar. After all, Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, Melissa Leo and Amy Adams...they were excellent!
