Has anyone read Hellstone by Steven Spruill?  I originally read this book way back in the early 1980s and thought it was very good.  Some many years later I was trying to remember the name of the book and could not remember either the title or the author.  Nor could I find the book itself.  Quite a few times over the last 30 years or so it's come to mind and I'd do a little searching for it but could never hit upon the right combination of keywords.  Very recently it came to mind again and I did another search which finally hit paydirt.  I found a Reddit post from someone looking for this book also and, lo and behold, someone had responded with the answer.  Once I saw the cover I knew I'd found it.  I was a little shocked to learn Steven Spruill was the author because, being an FPW fan, I'd read Nightkill, the collab between Steven and FPW, many years ago and had thoroughly enjoyed it.  I went to Amazon to buy a copy of Hellstone to read again but apparently it has been out of print for over 40 years.  So I checked eBay just looking for an old paperback and discovered that Centipede Press had recently published a new limited edition hardcover with an intro by FPW himself.  So I picked up one of those instead ... signed by Steven, FPW and illustrator David Ho.  I just got it a few days ago and I'm about half way through it now.  I can see why this book stuck with me.  Highly recommend.
