I suppose I should have posted a spoiler alert to this; be warned reading furhter will divulge vital information for "Recalled."

I finally got my hands on He Is Legend and of course immediately read "Recalled." Excellent story and my favorite RJ appearance in awhile. Kudos!

Has anyone else seen Faster with The Rock? Yes he doesn't use that name anymore, but he'll always be The Rock to everyone I think.

We watched it last night from Netflix. It was surprisingly very good. Of course Sig thought it was pretty awesome, except for the Chevelle he drove, Sig said it should have been a Mustang. Smile

It was a good action/revenge movie with enough violence to keep men happy and enough of The Rock and the man that plays Killer to keep women happy, or at least I enjoyed that part of it!

Its worth checking out. And the guy who played Mr. Eko from LOST is in it as well.

At the suggestion of the Bluesman, an inspiring image.

I just re-read "Legacies" last week, and I wanted to compare it to the most recent RJ novels. I then re-read the last three RJ novels. I have to say that there is an obvious difference in the writing. Almost like Ms. Rowling when she was doing the last two Harry Potter novels, you could see that she was tired of writing for this guy. She even admitted that she was tired, and she turned around and killed off most of the main people in the last novel! I really LOVED Legacies, and everything about Jack. I loved the way that he handled two different situations. I LOVED the novel where Jack dumped the oil and used tires on the druglord that killed the junkman's nephew. This was GREAT stuff. I hate to say it, but in comparison to those, these last three RJ novels are PALE compared to the first few. I realize how this can happen, and you can get stuck in a rut. But, for the last two, or three novels, can't we get Jack to go out with a BANG? If you LOVE Jack the way the rest of the world does, PLEASE, Dr. Wilson, PLEASE, look over what you had done back then, and see if you can get that "Groove" back. You are truly a gifted writer, and I just HATE to see Jack end, but hopefully we can have him end on a high note, not just some JK Rowling inspired ending.

I really like scarywitchy's post on RJ sayings: Repairman Jack: Light a man a fire, he is warm for the night. Light a man ON fire, he is warm for the rest of his life!!

Repairman Jack: Talk is cheap. Bullets are cheaper.

I didn't find a post about this one yet. I thought this was coming to theaters, but it's on netflix streaming now. Alien infected zone in mexico. Big walking Octopi. Somewhat realistic reactions to situations.

Overall, not my favorite, but definitely worth watching.

Hi,

I was noticing in The Touch that when Ba is rescuing Alan, he thinks to himself that Sargent NASH gave birth to a great daughter.

Isn't Sylvia's maiden name Avery?

I don't know if anyone else noticed this or if it's been corrected as I only have the Gauntlet edition of Bloodline but...

On the second Tuesday in subchapter 4 Jack and Aaron Levy meet at the Argonaut Diner. Aaron is in his car trying to convince himself to go into the diner when Jack knocks on his window. Jack gets in Aaron's car and they have a revealing conversation. During which Jack is suddenly twisting a salt shaker in his hands.

Huh?

I just finished the original series from the BBC and it is absolutely brilliant. I haven't been this engrossed since The Wire which I consider to be the best thing I've ever seen. It is a drama done in a thriller style. Everything about it is simply outstanding. The acting, writing, and production are all top notch. I highly recommend it to anyone who doesn't like to be spoonfed their entertainment.

Hi all!

Wow. First and foremost, thanks FPW!!! I walk into my local library and randomly pick authors (because I devour books and need new authors). I picked up The Tomb, and I was HOOKED!! I read all the RJ novels in two months, then as many of the AC novels as I could find. I had never heard of FPW before and thank providence I picked up the book!! I have to say, I love FPW writing and am now reading his other stuff. Just finished Midnight Mass (in 12 hours no less....devoured it!!).

Anyway, from the wonderful descriptions of FPW in his aftershock and others of this forum, I KNEW I had to join.

Thanks for being here and being a wonderful community of fans!
