Fans of the Repairman Jack series have long wanted to know where the character began; that story begins in Jack: Secret Histories. Jack will grow into the mercenary known as Repairman Jack, but here in 1983, he is just a boy with a destiny." That destiny includes a knack for “repairing” situations, whether it’s dealing with the troublesome teens who destroyed a neighbor’s lawn—or protecting his friends and family from the dangers presented by the mysterious Ancient Septimus Fraternal Order.

Jack is a kid nobody knows—not his parents, not his few friends, not even Jack.

I'm all caught up on the Jack novels, and had vowed to wait until the rereleases to read Reprisal and Nightworld. But I just finished reading the trade paperbacks of Reborn and The Touch, and can't stand the wait, so I caved in and ordered older copies of Reprisal and Nightworld off of Amazon. Now I'm pacing the floor awaiting their arrival. I feel so weak.

Still wanted Dead or Alive for crimes against Douglas Adams, Humanity, and Literature.

Anyone else have crimes again literature, great authors, or even good taste they'd like to report?

I watched this excellent little dramedy over the weekend. Andy Garcia plays the patriarch of a battling New York family who reside on City Island who are hiding all their secrets from one another. It is a funny and touching film that is well-acted, which is saying something because I have never liked Garcia at all. I recommend it to anyone looking for a low-key movie.
