Okay, I've heard something about a few members putting together a compendium (not sure who or how far) and I realize there is a COMPENDIUM Collection Point but, after having finished reading Infernal and forgetting certain details and characters from previous episodes (I need to work on my memory skills), I was wondering what other members think of putting together a Repairman Jack wiki.

What is a wiki? Well, similar to the best known wiki: Wikipedia.org and taken from their Overview FAQ, a wiki is "a website which any visitor can edit, with the changes showing up immediately. Ward Cunningham invented the concept and software."

If we set this up similar to Wikipedia, we could then have an online encyclopedia of RJ information as well as, presumably, any other F. Paul works.

If it's decided that this is a good idea, the next issues would revolve around logistics, I would imagine. Things like: who will host the RJ Wiki site?

Anyways, I'm interested in your thoughts on this. So, let 'er rip.

Had dinner with Kevin Falls last night. He's the writer-producer who's working to turn The Touch into a TV series. According to him, ABC loves the concept, loves his pilot treatment, and have told him to write a pilot script -- which he says should be ready in the next week or two.

I liked him a lot. A very genuine, grounded guy; and, with years of experience under his belt (four years at The West Wing, etc.), well-respected in this town.

Funny how things happen. He told me he was giving ABC a rehearsed pitch for a legal series and he could see their eyes glazing over. Came the inevitable question: "What else have you got?" Well, he'd recently read The Touch and had been thinking about it as a series; with nothing rehearsed he winged it at them and all of a sudden their eyes went from glazed to focused.

Still a long, long way to go. Not timewise (because things move quickly in TV Land) but stepwise. ABC has to like the pilot script enough to greenlight casting and filming of the pilot. Then they have to like the pilot enough to greenlight a series.

Major hurdles, but even if they're passed, you then have to pray that the show isn't slotted opposite CSI.

It's all such a crapshoot.

Best-case scenario: the pilot gets made with a great cast; then Invasion gets cancelled, opening up the slot after Lost.

But that's jumping way too far ahead. First let's all hope ABC likes the scipt and greenlights the pilot.

Couldn't resist myself. With a Friday off, I heard of a Midnight showing of the new Potter series. The showing was at 12:01, suprisingly it sold out so quickly they added a second showing. I arrived at 11 P.M., and did some people watching. Just about the majority of people were college/high schoolers. I was surprised no parents gave into their children's plea.

The movie itself was just brilliant. I really enjoyed this movie better than the others. The typical humor was upped a notch, and had a lot of little tid bits that made the movie that much more inviting. I think the big surprise was this movie has a lot more suspense, and might scare your young one's a bit more than the previous versions.

Well, the movie runs about 2 and half hours after previews. So it's a long movie, but I didn't find myself even worried about the time. A lot happens in this movie, and personally I was a little disappointed when the movie ended. The good thing was it was because I have to wait another year for a sequel. This was a really well done movie.

Written by J.P. Miller, takes place around Lambertville, NJ. An adventure/fantasy about an average guy's love for his wife, and the ordeal he goes through to realize it....while in a cave.
I tell anymore and I'd ruin the story.

Well I've read all the books in the RJ series and am just over halfway through Infernal. Not a huge poster on these forums, but thought I'd give it a try.

Can't help but notice Gia acting quite a bit more arrogantly in this novel. Is her attitude about life starting to change? Has she finally realised she's content in life which has created this attitude?

A couple examples would be her talking with Tom after the opera; Tom refers to it as not bruising his feelings but seems more to me like she's elevating herself instead of just saying no po. Another example is when she refers to herself as being middle class. But infact she lives in a mansion, likes (works with art?) and visits art museums, opera, etc.

Any thoughts or comments.

This is old school, B&W, yet very cool. A little confusing at times, but some real character development and (at least for me) an unpredictable course. The sword fights are far more realistic and less acrobatic than the flying silliness of later films.

As a lot of you know Dave and I have been working on a low budget horror feature film titled "Dead in the Water". Well, we officially wrapped and we have a teaser preview for those interested. I'd like to hear your thoughts.
