Hey, it's one of my very scattered messages!! Maybe I'll get as far as being an annual poster...heh, sorry about that...too much work and other stuff going on. I need to visit here more often.

Because of this same problem, I've been pretty out-of-touch about a lot of things...like this.

I got an invoice from Borderlands Press this morning, which mentioned Reprisal was going to be shipping in about two weeks or so. However...

"The next and last book in this series should (fingers crossed) ship in February."

So...I'm sure that this means The Man knows exactly what (fictional) space and material he'll have to work with, right? Like, if the revision of Nightworld is coming out as soon as February, the "revised" Jack will have all the post-Crisscross experiences, knowledge, etc. etc. already written in it. And what's more, that'll mean that if someone were to read the revised Nightworld before Harbingers and any other RJ novels to come out, they'd know the overall outcome of some of the books? I know, I know, Nightworld already came out years and years ago, and I also know that the only real changes that'll happen in the book are in terms of Jack's experiences and knowledge, and so the revision is basically going to be the overall same outcome; all I'm asking is, if the new version of Nightworld is coming out so soon, how might that affect people reading any and all future RJ novels?

Please forgive me if I'm a little confusing...'tis in the vicinity of 4:30 AM here as of right now.

Thaaaaaaaaanks...

Not great, but not bad. I found Depp's Wonka a real creepy critter, more menacing than Wilder's take. Those teeth, that vacant look...

FF= 0 (My grandson watched with me and he doesn't go for FFing -- but I doubt I'd have done much anyway, except maybe in the Oompa-Loompa musical numbers.)

Loved it. Matthew got a bit scared of the Zorgons, but he enjoyed it overall. We went straight to the video store and got Jumanji and he loved that one even more. The movie basically IS Jumanji, only it's a space game instead of a jungle game. Same premise, character relationships are different.
Oh, and BTW, Chicken Little ROCKS! Big Grin

"The Tery
First World Hard Cover Edition Published !
In a special
Signed Limited Edition"

Does anyone know how many there are supposed to be printed and if they will be individually numbered?

I did just watch Wizard the other night, but this thread is for the better than expected House of Wax. Solid production with several excellent kill scenes make it a worthwhile renter for any 'B' fan.

I just finished reading Hosts , and I am curious, would it be best if I read all of the RJ series before I read the other Adversary Cycle novels?

Second question, who is the Actor in RJ teaser trailer #2 (I prefer him)?

Yesterday, I saw three movies in theaters. One of them was "Elizabethtown", directed by Cameron Crowe. His previous movie, "Almost Famous" is my favorite one. And this "Elizabethtown" is also very wonderful. Drew go back to his hometown for his father's funeral. He failed his business and he lost everything, but he meet lovely flight attendant, Claire. And he meet very tender people in town, then his heart healed by them.......Well, I don't talk too much. If you like road trip movie, check it out. Beautiful scenery, wonderful songs & music, Tom Petty&Heartbreakers, Elton John, Linsey Buckingham, Nancy Wilson, The Hollies.......nuff said.

A totally stupid, improbable, impossible, silly, stupid (did I say that already?) movie. And yet...engaging.

FF= 0.5

(As I've said before, I can be engaged by crap.)

“Srem” sounds an awful like “sram” which means “shame” in Russian. It’s probably just a coincidence, but it’s been needling my brain ever since I saw it in Crisscross. What did all those ladies say? No more coincidences for Jack?

Also, in a rather unrelated way, would it have anything to do with a city of Srem in Serbia? Google is not a friend.

Mini-reviews:

Saw II: Cheat ending, but good viewing if you liked Saw I.

Get Rich or Die Tryin': Dumb ending, bad movie, but liked the song "Window Shopper."

Chicken Little: I can think of a hundred reasons to agree with all the bad reviews this movie has gotten, =but= I laughed myself silly. The 'big voice' scene was worth the price of admission alone. I recommend this for adults and kids.

The Weather Man: I like Nicolas Cage. He's a good actor and picks good movie roles. This movie proves that. It was sad in a funny way, and funny in a sad way. Adult drama. Good ending.

Doom: I liked it. Didn't plan to see it, but everything else was sold out. It was as good as the popcorn, at least. But like the popcorn, it was forgotten as soon as I left the theater.

AC

P.S. Why yes. I do have too much time on my hands. On my way to see Zathura after I drop my girlfriend off at the university library.
