The first one I watched merely because Vin Diesel was in it. I became a Diesel fan when I saw him in Boiler Room. It was such a great movie, then he did Pitch Black. I really enjoyed Pitch Black, but after that it was medocre. In his role of XXX it wasn't the best, like you said pretty much crap, but still kept you watching.
I saw the first XXX, so I checked out XXX2. I thought this one didn't really compare the first like so many sequels end up. This one in particular was really below expectations that were already set low.
