I have really enjoyed Blake Crouchs' Wayward Pines books. Am I safe in assuming this story is set in that same town in Idaho??

Potentially stupid question....

I know the new novella The Widow Lindley is available on Kindle, but I can only see it on the '.com' Amazon and not the '.co.uk' one. So - does this mean I can't buy it in the UK?

I don't use a Kindle at all so apologies if there is an obvious solution - I just don't know what it is.

(Just in case you think I'm crazy for trying to buy a story I won't be able to read - I was going to borrow a friend's Kindle and read it on that.)

A low-key start to the tour. The East Coasters (Harlan Heather, and I) arrived early afternoon at the Washington Hilton. A little before 5p.m. we gathered in the lobby to await the left coasters (Phil from Portland, Katherine from San Fran). But they had baggage delays at the airport so we cabbed out to Fort Belvoir in Virginia to meet them there.

After a thorough (and I do mean thorough) inspection of our cab, we were passed through the gate to gather in the USO Warrior and Family Center. There we did a meet and greet with some of the soldiers – both staff and those going through injury rehab. They hail from all over the country. Fred, the USO photographer traveling with us, was snapping away. When I find out where you can see those pics, I’ll let you know.

After that we returned to the hotel and had dinner. Kath (who’s done this before) went over what we could expect overseas. But that’s not till Sunday. We’ll be visiting Walter Reed and Quantico before we fly again.

Loved it. RJ really is the perfect character for a prequel because we knew so little about him when we first met him in The Tomb and the subsequent series. I find it fascinating how he's learning his trade from all walks of life. Of course its great to see all the secondary characters get some more page time than usual as well. I'll have to look it up, but my favorite bit was the conversation between Jack and Abe after the night on the Outer Banks when Jack realizes that he doesn't have a problem with the Mikulskis methodology but that's not who he wants to be.

And Preston was a great addition to the cast.

Now that season 4 has premiered, what did everyone think of The Walking Dead? I felt sort of ho-hum about it. Nothing groundbreaking and nothing really interesting happened. It felt like almost every scene was a setup for two characters to talk about something and that was it.

Not sure what's going on with the kid at the end. Was he turning and that's why he collapsed? Or was he really sick, hit his head and died and then turned? And, with the dying pig, are they going to introduce animal zombies now, or is it just symbolism?

I know a show is losing me when I start multitasking and doing other things like reading the news, or browsing the web which I did with this episode. I hope it picks up next episode.

It was brought to my attention that posts weren't going through. This was due to some updating and house cleaning I did over the weekend. The problem should now be resolved, and I apologize for any inconvenience.
