Warning! Warning! Warning! Even if you like Japanese horror movies, you shouldn't see this movie, "Chakushin Ari 2". If it translate to English, the title is "You got a mail".(I'm not talking about the movie of Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. I like that movie).

Part1 is.....I've never seen such a awful movie before. So I think part2 is bad, too. Nevertheless Hollywood intend to remake of it! Somebody need to say to producers, "STOP it!".

I don't see it yet, but I saw trailer...it's totally trash.

Ring was good, The Grudge was good. But this "Chakushin Ari" series are BAD.

I sent out the Feb-March newsletter on the 10th, but I think -- think -- the program quit after 310 mailings. Are there any subscribers here who didn't get it? I don't want to do a second mailing, but if only 310 received it, that means a couple of thousand didn't.

What are poeples overall opinion on this film? I sat down with a good friend of mine and watched this movie. We had a retrospective discussion. He is very passionate about the film and will defend it to the end. I think the movie is complete sh*t at best.

To read the retrospective discussion click HERE for part one of the discussion.

and HERE for the second part of the discussion. It is humorous to see how passionate my friend is about this movie, and how I could not possibly care less.

Most of us are excited in one form or another about the Tomb coming to the silver screen, but what other books would everyone like to see get made?

My personal choice is The Broken Hearts Club, by Ethan Blacke. It's about a group of bitter ex-boyfriends who have weekly meetings to deal with their bad break-ups. One of them gets the bright idea to kill his ex and convinces the others to do the same. Obviously, the hero detective begins to track these people down, but there's a twist to this I never saw coming.

I'm just wondering if the people who are getting the A/C books from Borderlands Press received their copy of Reborn yet? I didn't get mine and I don't think I've been billed even though I got an e mail a month ago saying they were billing at the end of Feb. I want my book! Have you guys gotten yours?

I forgot all about this movie. This is a direct to cable thriller in the same vein of an X-Files episode. It concerns a half Greenland, half American woman who befriends a little boy who suddenly dies.

She investigates after figuring his death wasn't just an accident and discovers that the boy's father was part of some Antarctic expedition and something pretty cool you'd never think of in a million years happened (I don't want to spoil too much Cool ).

Anyway, it's worth the rent and Smilla is played by the very beautiful Julia Ormond. I haven't seen it in Blockbuster as of late, but then again, I haven't looked, either.

Has anyone else seen the wonderfully quirky animated feature "Triplets of Belleville?" It has been a very long time since I've watched a movie where I didn't have a clue as to what was coming next. I found it refreshingly unique and unlike anything I've ever seen. I wouldn't even begin to tell you what it's about, the story is so darn strange but in the sweetest way.

The score is very catchy, also. It was nominated for 2 Oscars in 2003, for best animated feature and best song, and did not win.

It's worth a peek if you like the unusual.

If this has been asked and answered before, I apologize upfront.

Can someone tell me how I can tell if the book I have is a first edition?

I have a hard cover of "The Haunted Air," published by Forge, a Tom Doherty Associates Book, and on the copyright page it says at the bottom, "First Edition: October, 2002, printed in the United States of America, 0987654321," and there is another string of numbers as well.

OK, OK, I know I sound like the ultimate dummy because the book is labled "first edition." But there was a thread that went into many variations on the theme of first editions, and I don't know if this is a first edition of a second printing or what.
