Has anyone else seen the wonderfully quirky animated feature "Triplets of Belleville?" It has been a very long time since I've watched a movie where I didn't have a clue as to what was coming next. I found it refreshingly unique and unlike anything I've ever seen. I wouldn't even begin to tell you what it's about, the story is so darn strange but in the sweetest way.

The score is very catchy, also. It was nominated for 2 Oscars in 2003, for best animated feature and best song, and did not win.

It's worth a peek if you like the unusual.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

I enjoyed it, too. I'm really into bicycles and bicycle racing, but I wasn't aware of that aspect of the story until I started watching it. The dog is my favorite.

I love Bruno, too. I'd love to have had a grandmama like Madame Souza. She was so adorable; I loved the way she kept pushing her glasses back up her nose. She's the most quietly, sweetly relentless character I've ever seen. And I had no idea about the bicycle racing, either. A very cool little movie.
