Yeah, I know. But I enjoyed Bride so I figured I'd try the next installment. And guess what: It's funny and very entertaining -- especially if you view it with the pop-ups. You have to have a stomach for gore -- but it's so over the top it's cartoony. Its homages to seminal horror films and cult films are lots of fun (everything from Psycho to Glen or Glenda).

For R-rated horror fans only (or, more properly: for fans of R-rated horror only).

Whatever.

Does anyone know if Borderlands is on schedule with Reprisal? The original date for release was tomorrow. Is that still correct?

I've already read Reprisal twice, but I'm just so anxious to get the whole Adversary collection that every book just means I'm that much closer to completion.

I only saw about a half hour or so, but I see some obvious problems.

1. The catchy phrase lines- does EVERYONE have them? The prison guard when he comes in (you're talking outta yer neck), his cellmate (welcome to Prisneyland).

2. Men on deathrow aren't allowed in the genpop. They might attempt to take people down to delay their executions.

3. Illinois declared a moratorium on death sentences because they found they'd executed like 7 innocent people.

4. Not so much a complaint, but I had a sensation that the main character was going to have something 'wrong' with him. That he needed some kind of stumbling block. Lo and behold, 20 minutes later, the prison doctor is saying something to him about being a diabetic.

5. You can't diagnose diabetes with a glucose monitor. Everyone has high blood sugar and low blood sugar at some point in time. An actual diagnosis would come after a hemoglobin A1C or a glucose tolerance test was done.

6. It was kind of dumb of the main character to commit a crime, get convicted and then sent to prison BEFORE asking his brother if he killed the Vice President's brother. If he'd planned on breaking him out either way he shouldn't have bothered asking.

I think that's it, I actually didn't see the whole show.

Just saw this movie last night and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.

At the beginning I was thinking it was going to be a rip off of Se7en but as it gets into the movie it has some pretty cool takes on the whole serial killer thing.

The premise without any spoilers (this is how it was advertised on Netflix) is that the FBI is hunting a serial killer who is targeting serial killers as his prey.

Ben Kingsley is in it, and he is usually really good in my opinion and doesn't disappoint in this movie. The lady from Matrix is in it too but I am drawing a blank on her name.

Well worth a rent. Not a masterpiece by any means but still a very entertaining movie for me.

This is extremely well done -- lots of bang for not many bucks. It helps to watch I and II first (I think III is the best) but Legacy gives you enough backstory to make sense of it all. The Rumanian locations are used to great effect, it's got an interesting storyline with loads of internal and external conflict, lots of action, scares, creepiness, and naked goils. What's not to like?

First edition hardback, p322, 2nd paragraph, last sentance:

"The sun hadn could dog your steps all day long and you'd never notice him."[sic]

It continues from there with a new paragraph that seems to come from Nightworld (also 1st edition, p57, para 4-5 under 2nd section), ending with:

"A toughness, a resolve to see a task through to the end. He oom and stared in shock."[sic]

Can anyone else verify typo this for me, or is my copy fubar (and, perhaps, rarer for it)?

Thanks.

Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs! Do you remember them?

A few days ago I bought Miami Vice DVD-first season, and this evening I watched pilot episode. Oh, man! Today I saw it after an interval of about 20 years(Gosh...). Blue sea, shining sun, 80's music, beautiful ladies, gunshot, car chase....I felt it's still GREAT!

Miami Vice is still best TV series in our generation. That's '80s! Not '70s or '90s. Nevertheless, some people are trying remake of it. Sonny Crockett = Colin Farrel, Ricardo Tubbs = Jamie Foxx.....PLEASE, SOMEBODY STOP THEM!! Rolleyes
