[SIZE="3"]Yeah, I know: What was I thinking? I never watched the TV show so maybe there were things that slipped past me, but...I don't get it. I just don't get it. And after-images of Jessica Simpson's teeth are still flashing on my retinas. (The low FF rating does not reflect my level of engagement. It was the end of a long day and I simply let 'er run.)
The new preview for Linklater's latest film, A Scanner Darkly, is now up. It's based on Philip K. Dick's story. Watching the preview I have to say Linklater is a visionary when it comes to the creativity of film. He uses a similar "animation" technique he used in Waking Life. Anyway, you can check out the preview here.
So I'm sitting here watching the first season of one of my favorite shows, the Pretender, and I'm wondering if the creator's of The Pretender were fans of Repairman Jack. Many of Jarod's fixes remind me of Jack's.
This just popped into my head while I was warming up lunch in the atrium. Mine is the scene in Fight Club at the cancer support group when the one woman, who's obviously dying gets up to the podium and pretty much begs for someone to have sex with her before she dies. Anybody else have one?
Maybe I missed something here, but hopefully someone can clarify this. In the latest Repairman Jack novels both Rasalam and Glaeken are mentioned. However, it seems as if Jack has never heard of these two beings. Didn't he meet up with them in the Nightworld novel or have at least heard of them from this book? Any answers are greatly appreciated.
