Watch it and then just try and say something other than "wow."

If you can, good for you. Now stop wasting your time and watch it!

The Tomb is going to be on one of the Showtime channels tonight. I know it's supposed to be nothing like the actual story, but I may just try to watch some of it anyway.

Does anyone know if Jack is in the movie?

What's really freaky about the murder of this actress (besides the horror of the actual murder itself) is how much she looks like Susan Lee. Check out a color photograph of Shelly some time. She and Susan could be sisters.

Brooklyn Man Charged With Murder Of Actress
Construction Worker Expected To Be Arraigned Tuesday

(CBS/AP) NEW YORK Prosecutors have charged a man with murdering actress Adrienne Shelly, who was found hanging from a shower rod in her West Village office last Wednesday, CBS 2 News has learned. Sources tell CBS 2?s Ti-Hua Chang a construction worker has allegedly confessed to the crime.

Police have charged 19-year-old Diego Pillco, of the 300-block of Prospect Avenue in Brooklyn, with second degree murder.

Sources tell CBS 2?s Ti-Hua Chang that Pillco, a construction worker, apparently confessed to the crime.

Pillco was expected to be arraigned Tuesday on the second-degree murder charge, a spokeswoman for the Manhattan district attorney's office said.

Pillco allegedly punched the 5-foot-2 actress after she complained about the noise he was making in the West Village apartment building where her office is located, killing her.

He then allegedly admitted to dragging the body up to her office, and positioning her in the shower to make her death look like a suicide.

The medical examiner's office had not yet ruled whether the death of the petite actress best known for her roles in the Hal Hartley films "Trust" and "The Unbelievable Truth" was a homicide or a suicide.

Police had been hesitant to label the case a suicide after no suicide note was found and sneaker prints that didn't match Shelly's shoes were found in the bathtub.

Shelly, whose birth name was Adrienne Levine, was found by her husband, Andy Ostroy, Wednesday evening hanging from a shower rod in the bathtub of a Greenwich Village apartment which she uses as her office.

Ostroy released a statement to the media on Monday night:

"My wife's senseless death is devastating to me, our families and friends. We are incredibly grateful to the New York City Police Department for their dedication, professionalism and tenacity in following up on every lead in this case.

"We appreciate the outpouring of support we've received. Her fans and the film community knew Adrienne as an award-winning actor, screenwriter and director, but her most enduring legacy is our wonderful daughter. To those closest to her, she was the best mother and step-mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend anyone could ask for.

"My comfort is now our young daughter and my other children who have been incredibly supportive. We hope everyone will respect that this is a difficult and private time for our family."

Shelly, who was born in Queens and grew up on Long Island, also had a 3-year-old daughter Sophie.

For those of you familiar with Operation Greenlight ( I was not before this movie, reality series bore me to tears) this is the movie that the guy who won last year put out.

It is a horror movie with very little depth. The previews had me excited to see it as it looks like it may be a bit like "Night of the living dead" or "Dog Soldiers" in that it is about a group of people stuck in a bar in the middle of no where trying to survive an attack by some sort of creatures.

I LOVE monster movies and movies like this but this movie I didn't really like. It seemed to try too hard to be cute and funny in the way some better movies do without seeming to try (exp. Dog Soldiers again).

The one redeeming quality of this movie is Henry Rollins of punk rock/hard rock fame plays a motivational speaker and he had me laughing in more then one spot.

Watched this movie the other night. For those not familar with it this is an Australian western ( I know I know.....).

It takes place during the time the British are trying to "civilize" the country. The premise of the movie without spoiling it is this, a British officer, after having captured two of 4 Irish brothers from a gang of criminals makes the one brother a proposition that he will give him and his younger, mentally challenged brother a pardon for all crimes committed if he will go back out, find the older brother and leader of the group and kill him.

This movie has me in a quandry. I don't know yet if I loved this movie or hated it. It is a, in my opinion, very stark and harsh movie. Showing that both sides are equally bad in everything they do. I had a hard time finding any of the redeeming qualities in either side that movies usually try and give with the exception of some of the actions of one of the brothers and the British officer.

Anyone else seen this?

Just finished Harbingers and as soon as work is done for the day i am going to head off to my version of Julio's have a beer, or ten, shoot some pool and wonder.

This was the best book i have read all year, maybe the best in the last five years. I can not even begin to explain the range of emotion and how drained i feel after finishing this. Makes me want to sign up for the battle myself, kind of watch RJ'S back, he can't be everywhere, or can he?

I am so drained and wow is all i can say.

The RJ saga turned the corner from me and now all i can wonder is what is up next for RJ. To lead a life like he does, a life he has almost no real control over, a life course determined for him, wow i am stumbling over my words.

I see that this made no sense at all but i can still say this was just an awesome read.

thanks Mr. Wilson, thanks for giving us RJ.

And RJ, if you see this, if you ever need a branch that you dont have to worry about losing, i am your man.

Since there are LOST fans and Serenity/Firefly fans on this board, I thought I should post a link to a press release for the 7th Son podcast novel trilogy.

http://www.jchutchins.net/7Son/Press%20R...E10D2.html

If you want to get hooked on the story, make sure to start at the beginning of Book One: Descent. The first few minutes should suck you in and not let go until the end. It's only part way through book two at this time.

I got hooked on this podcast novel because of a cross-over with "Infection" by Scott Sigler who also did the "Earthcore" and "Ancestor" podcast novel.

7th Son is a fantastic podcast novel. Well-written and even more well read by the author, J.C. Hutchins. It's got everything I like in a story: technology, conspiracy, characters that grow on you, suspense, action, violence and no plot holes that disrupt the enjoyment of the story.

I've been meaning to post about this podcast for several months now, but usually get too wrapped up in the political threads. I can't recommend this story enough. I put it among my top favorite stories of all time.

Although labeled a comedy, Mini's First Time is a film that defies easy categorization. It details the life of Mini, an emotionally disconnected high school senior willing to do anything to capture the feeling of doing something for the 'first' time. She views the world as a playing board and people as markers to be moved at her whim. Her 'need' sets off a chain of events better seen than read.

The movie boasts a great supporting cast including Alec Baldwin, Jeff Goldblum, Carrie Ann Moss and Luke Wilson, but the star is Nikki Reed as Mini. Reed, the other girl from Thirteen, is excellent portraying the woman/child who uses her sexuality for her own amusement.

There were comedic moments, but I thought the film worked better as social commentary about how emotionally distant people are becoming; Mini has zero regard what effect her actions have on others, a growing trend in our society I fear.
