We just watched the ultimate independent family film last night, Always Will, and thought it was exceptionally well done. Comparisons to The Butterfly Effect are inevitable, but this film didn't go for thrills, instead it focused on how Will's(the main character) forays into the past effected those around him on a much more personal level. I thought the movie had a lot of heart and both my kids really liked it as well.

The film is quite low budget, but for a good reason-besides the lack of money I mean. Michael Sammaciccia, who wrote and directed it, returned to his hometown of Darby, PA and created Film Club. Film Club recruited any high schoolers who were interested and they formed the cast and crew.

The soundtrack is worth listening to as well. On a side note about music, I have been listening to Trout Fishing In America's live My Best Day and loving it. TFIA is an acoustic duo who have been performing kids music for 30 years, but I had never heard of them and what a shame, they are exceptional musicians who pen some truly clever songs.

From Today, Dr. Who has begun in my area, and I watched first episode. I've never seen original, but this new one is quite fantastic! Has anyone seen this?

Now I really like British TV series! Big Grin

Just now I saw French film, "36 Quai Des Orfevres". It's a story about two cops. One cop(Leo) is good cop. He believe righteousness. He loves family and friends. Another cop(Denis) has power-lust and ambitiousness. They conflict to each other for one task. Bad cop vs. Good cop? Nope, the story is not so simple.

If you like Film Noir, I recommend it. The last scene was surprisingly terrific! Cool

I just got back from taking the kiddos and it was pretty entertaining. Like all the Pixar movies, it is incredible visually-definitely one of their best. The story tried a bit too hard in places and it overstayed its welcome by 20 minutes.

These are old, but they're new to me:

1. "Don't you have some laundry to do or something?"
2. "Ohh, you are so cute when you get all pissed off."
3. "You're just upset because your ass is beginning to spread."
4. "Wait a minute...I get it. What time of the month is it?
5. "You sure you don't want to consult the great Oprah on this one?"
6. "Sorry. I was just picturing you naked."
7. "Whoa, time out Honey; football is on."
8. "Looks like someone had an extra bowl of Bitch Flakes this morning."
9. "Is there any way we can do this via e-mail?"
10. "Who are you kidding? We both know that thing ain't loaded."

YAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWN.

I kept waiting for something...anything to happen that would have been interpreted as suspenseful. Decent set up, but it failed to grab me. But Kate Beckinsale is really good-looking even without a lot of make-up and this was the first role I ever saw Luke Wilson seem to not take tongue-in-cheek to.

Scott Miller Wrote:Just saw a commercial for The Lookout starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt which looks pretty good. It also stars Jeff Daniels which means I will see it at some point as Jeff comes from the same small town as me and I see all his movies.

And it is quite good. It is heist movie that focuses on its characters rather than the action. Gordon-Levitt is exceptional as the mentally impaired lead and Jeff Daniels shines as his blind roommate.

Fans of FPW style horror will certainly find something to chuckle at in this cult British Comedy programme.

"I'm one of the few people you'll ever meet who's written more books than they've read. . . " Garth Marenghi is a pompous, egotistical and arrogant schlock horror writer who made an awful sci-fi/horror programme in the '80s that was so bad it was canned before transmission (though it did do well in Peru!)

Now, though, Channel4 is desperate to fill the schedule so asks Garth to present it now. We are treated to the original awful programme, mixed in with contempory interviews with surving cast members (at least the ones who havent pissed Garth off in the intervening years!)

One of my favourites! Big Grin I love to think of FPW as being like Garth Marenghi!

Has anyone seen this British TV show? If you like THE OFFICE or FAWLTY TOWERS, I highly recommend THE IT CROWD.

Main characters are two guys and one woman. Two guys(Roy and Moss) are working in a IT section in basement and they're nerds. Other colleagues dislike them. One woman(Jen) is their boss, but she's completely ignorance about computer.

Actually, just now I saw a few of episodes in 1st season, and I couldn't stop a laughing! I like British comedy!!! Big Grin

At first, when I heard they make "Ocean's 13", I thought I won't see it. Because "Ocean's 12" was too terrible. All character's acting were dull and annoyed me. But on the other hand, I heard Al Pacino play one of characters in "13". So...I changed my mind and I went to a theatre see "13".

As a result, it was better than "12". "13" was very fun and good entertainment movie. This time, their purpose is "revenge". A revenge for one friend. But they never use guns or knives. Looked like "Mission Impossible without violence". I know 13 is bad number in America, but this "13" was good.

Oh, and this time, Eddie Izzard played their planner of "mission". He's funny! Big Grin
