From Today, Dr. Who has begun in my area, and I watched first episode. I've never seen original, but this new one is quite fantastic! Has anyone seen this?

Now I really like British TV series! Big Grin

I love the last 3 series of Dr Who, not sure which you are getting

The best for me was Christopher Ecclestone, he also played the invisible character in Heros

My all time favorite was John Pertwee, from years ago

Here in the UK you can usually guess a persons favorite doctor by their age, i.e. usually the first doctor they saw

I also just recently found this show on the PBS station in Georgia. My mom (an avid Dr. Who fan from the beginning) burned me her discs and gave them to me. So far I am still in season 1 and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

I remember very little from the originals, except the Daleks, K-9, and the Tardis (vague images of what it looked like inside...I rememeber a lot of white)

Guess Tom Baker would be my favorite original series Doctor since he is the one I really remember the best.

I'm sticking with this new show...seems very well written and in keeping with the original series.

Tom Baker came just after John Pertwee

The very same same Tom Baker is the deadpan voice over on Little Britain if you have ever seen that (if not I recommend it - Tom Bakers interludes are easily the funniest part of the show)

I saw Dr. Who when I was little, but I barely remember it. That one was a curly-haired man who would get into one of those red phone booths and do SOMETHING, but I can't remember what. I loved the theme music, though.

They passed an old woman who was just opening the door of a brown Cadillac. An old man was already sitting in the passenger seat. The car had a personalized plate with the letters “J-U-S-P-R-A-Y”.
“That stuff work?” Israel said to her.
“‘Scuse me?” the little old woman said, clutching her keys.
“The spray. Does it keep them away?”
“Keep who away?” She looked confused.
“I gotcha.” Israel gave her a conspiratorial wink.

Last night's episode was "The end of the world".

A group of alien delegates preparing to watch the Earth being consumed by the sun. Even if it it a fantasy sci-fi story, this episode was a little bit sad. Sad

I don't think we can open that link on this side of the pond.
