OK, my wife and I are doing a bad movie night. I put "Maniac Cop" in the queue which is available and my wife put in "Silent Night, Deadly Night" which has a short wait. Then she really upped the ante. She put in "He Knows You're Alone" and I've never even HEARD of this. We already saw "I Spit on Your Grave" and "Bad Taste" has a very long wait and "I was a Teenage Zombie" isn't available at all (we switched to Blockbuster). The only other thing I can think of is this really trippy movie I saw when I was a kid about a guy who put this little alien parasite in his brain. It would get him high, but then he had the intense urge to eat brains. I can't remember the name of it, though. Any idea?

If you liked SUPERBAD, you'll love JUNO, and vice-versa. Superb dialogue. Sardonic wit. Clever deadpan punchlines. You'll laugh alot. You don't get that from many movies these days.

AC

P.S. Don't choke on your popcorn. The laughs can catch you in mid-munch.

I just discovered the buried secrets of Giza...well not really, but something just as wonderful! I picked up 3 Repairman Jacks somewhere a couple of months ago in terrific shape. I didn't open them when I brought them home, because I could have been tempted to read ahead, you know that instant gratification thing rearing its ugly head, so I just stuck them on our to read shelf and moved on. Well this morning on break I open The Haunted Air and what do I find, but a signed copy!!! The Man had signed it for Joe! Now why Joe would let such a treasure go is beyond me, but one man's lost treasure is another woman's gold. ;-) So just call us Joe! lol Thanks for the signed copy FP! Cool Keri...er...Joe.

And why?

I admit, the viral marketing has definitely got me hooked. I look at the pictures, I make the slusho drinks, I try to make sense of what the drink does to people. I'm dropping the kiddie off at the sitter's and going to see it this weekend.

.....by the Coward Robert Ford.

*****!!!SPOILERS!!!*****

Yes it is. The story is about James brothers and Robert Ford. Everybody knows Robert Ford shot Jesse James, right?

But I didn't know that......well, actually I didn't know well about Jesse James himself. :o

Today I saw this in a theatre. I can't believe it was 160 min. I didn't feel 160 min passed by. This movie's everything's excellent. Especially, cinematography was very beautiful! Roger Deakins should become Oscar winner. He did great job. Brad Pitt played Jesse James, Casey Affleck played Robert Ford, both were brilliant! Sam Rockwell, Mary-Louise Parker, Sam Shepard, they were also great.

The end of the story was ironic. Jesse James was scoundrel, murderer, desperado. Robert shot Jesse. So Robert should've won the admiration. But everybody called him "coward".

Coward....yes he was. Jesse hadn't gun. Nevertheless, Robert shot his back. It was in 1882.

If you want to watch free tv shows, old cartoons, movies (including such gems as the uncut English subtitled "GOJIRA" (Godzilla) and its sequels-in nice transfers, check out Lycos Cinema. A great place for 'Baby Boomer' entertainment!

Just ordered the DVD set for "Night Gallery". I think it was a great show and doesn't get the attention it deserves-favorites: "The Devil Is Not Mocked" starring Francis Lederer-who once again plays Dracula (First time was in 1958's "Return Of Dracula"). "Cool Air"and "Pickman's Model", two great Lovecraft tales that really stay in the spirit of the writer.
Anyone else have this?
By the way, Bill Knight (Midnight Video) said the Japanese laserdisc box set to "Kolchack The Night Stalker" includes an unaired episode never shown on TV and not included on the DVD.

I finally sat down and started watching TORCHWOOD-and found it really well done. This is a VERY 'R' rated DOCTOR WHO spinoff complete with HIGH sexual content and lots of profanity (the F word is muttered quite a bit).
Seriously, if you can watch it on some site-check it out!
