I know that the question of audio versions of FPW's books has come up on occasion here so if anyone is interested in listening to Bloodline, it is available; I just picked it up this morning.

I have been volunteering in my daughter's class a couple of mornings a week and about two months ago I was escorting kids out to the bookmobile and as I am wont to do I began scanning the novels beginning with the W's. I mentioned the lack of Wilson's to the librarian and we struck up a conversation about FPW. She mentioned that the seniors on her her route are always looking for good thrillers making a perfect fit.

Today I returned to the bookmobile for the first time and the librarian immediately told me that they can't get enough of FPW and that she herself had become quite hooked.

What the world needs now is a FPW-athon. Think we can set a world record for the most people reading the same book simultaneously? I say yes.

From this Monday, new TV series:"THE UNIT" started in Japanese cable channel. I'm not gunnie, but I enjoyed it.

Jonas Blane and Bob Brown, they are super-secret operators of The Unit. In episode 1, a charter plane is hijacked by Middle Eastern people. Jonas ignore arrogant FBI's orders. Jonas and Bob goes rescue the passengers with his team.

Jonas is skillful marksman. He shot terrorists without mistakes! Wow!

I'll continue to see this show.

From Yahoo! News:

NEW YORK - Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday at a downtown Manhattan residence in a possible drug-related death, police said. He was 28.

NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the Manhattan apartment believed to be his home. The housekeeper who went to let Ledger know the masseuse was there found him dead at 3:26 p.m.

The Australian-born actor was an Oscar nominee for his role in "Brokeback Mountain" and has numerous other screen credits.

The Heartbreak Kid is the Farrelly Brothers stepping in the right direction to get back to the truly tasteless comedy of their best efforts Kingpin & There's Something About Mary. It is not as consistently funny as either of them, but has a few great moments and it has got a heart beating under all the crude behavior. You could do worse.

Jumper is the one movie I'm really waiting for this year.

It is based on the novel of the same name by Steven Gould.

I had doubts about it when I first heard about the storyline for it & the prequel comic being released, but today saw ads for it & it's starting to look good.

Anyone see the preview to this one? Bryan Cranston stars and he seems to be a guy whose had some kind of mid-life crisis and goes on a TREMENDOUS crime spree. In the preview he's recorded himself on a video camera telling his family that "it's not what you think" in relation to what they must be hearing about him on the news and that the police shouldn't take the video as a confession. It seems interesting to say the least.

OK, my wife and I are doing a bad movie night. I put "Maniac Cop" in the queue which is available and my wife put in "Silent Night, Deadly Night" which has a short wait. Then she really upped the ante. She put in "He Knows You're Alone" and I've never even HEARD of this. We already saw "I Spit on Your Grave" and "Bad Taste" has a very long wait and "I was a Teenage Zombie" isn't available at all (we switched to Blockbuster). The only other thing I can think of is this really trippy movie I saw when I was a kid about a guy who put this little alien parasite in his brain. It would get him high, but then he had the intense urge to eat brains. I can't remember the name of it, though. Any idea?
