Between Nightworld and The Dark at the End (working title for RJ #15) I'm looking to tie up as much as possible. Here's the place to make suggestions. Maybe I've forgotten something and you can jog my memory.

Has anyone seen this movie?

I read the novel by Scott Smith, and I enjoyed it. But the movie was un-released in Japan. So I saw it on DVD. Japanese title is "Parasite Biting". (What a.....?)

The Ruins is one of the creepiest, most disturbing story. So this movie was surprisingly well done. Especially the scenes of creepy creepers creeping to 5 young tourists, that was really....ugh! :eek:


The movie was 90 min. First 88 min was okay, But the last three min disappointed me. That ruined the movie, totally.

Trailer just popped up a week or two ago, based on a Graphic Novel (Comic book if ya wanna be all specific about it), about a Black Ops Govt team betrayed and left for dead going out for revenge.

From what I've gathered from other people's reactions it 'looks like the new A-Team movie'. I haven't watched that trailer yet but to me the A-Team was about people 'fixing' problems (kinda like the hero we're all here for) in a merc/gun toting kinda way.

To me this just looks like popcorn fun in the theater with witty one liners.

Thoughts?

This is the way they should have reacted - drop the MacMillan Kindles, since that was the area of dispute. But instead they decided to pull all editions - right before Secret Circles went on sale. I've always been a great booster of Amazon as a friend to writers and readers, and I've always sent my readers to Amazon (so much so that my publisher received complaints from competitors). Now I can't help but feel betrayed.[/SIZE]

Over several seasons Clark Kent has slowly, and I mean s-l-o-w-l-y, been becoming Superman. Along the way he's encountered some super-friends: Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Watchtower, Cyborg, Martian Manhunter, and Black Canary. Green Arrow has tried to organize the group into a "league" to fight crime, but Clark always balks, preferring to work alone.

Enter The Justice Society of America: Green Lantern, Hawkman, Dr. Fate, et al. They are all old heroes from the forties who were imprisoned by the gov't for refusing to work for the gov't. Now there's a supervillain (Jack Frost?!?!) who is killing off the old superheroes. A handful of the old and new heroes unite to stop the "Icicle."

Clark learns about teamwork, and Dr. Fate tells him about his superhero future. Thusly, Clark is one step closer to becoming Superman and starting the Justice League of America.

A cross between the Golden Age comic book origin of the JSA and Watchmen, this episode was a comic geek's wet dream. I can't believe this two-hour episode brought tears to my eyes. Hawkman was perfectly rendered by both writers and actor. Dr. Fate was a homeless man, a raving babbler whose brain was fried by wearing the Dr. Fate helmet one too many times, but when he dons the helmet again to unite the JSA, it was a moment to behold.

Every season there are rumors of an appearance by Batman. With the JLA in the works, I hope Smallville speeds things up a bit and get to it. Time to change the title from Smallville to Superman.

P.S. Next up: The Suicide Squad. Yeah. Some supervillains from the silver age. Golly.

I don't want to see the spoilers, but I have to ask. What is LOST about and what makes it as amazing as it obviously is?? I would appreciate the help.
