Trailer just popped up a week or two ago, based on a Graphic Novel (Comic book if ya wanna be all specific about it), about a Black Ops Govt team betrayed and left for dead going out for revenge.

From what I've gathered from other people's reactions it 'looks like the new A-Team movie'. I haven't watched that trailer yet but to me the A-Team was about people 'fixing' problems (kinda like the hero we're all here for) in a merc/gun toting kinda way.

To me this just looks like popcorn fun in the theater with witty one liners.

Thoughts?

Is it based on the one written by Andy Diggle? I only read the first trade, but remember liking it quite a bit; it definitely had cinematic potential.

And welcome aboard.

The same.

Though, for some reason, they turned the female lead into an African American instead of a Islamic descent gal.

To me it reeks of executive meddling, didn't test well or something I guess? Afraid it'd turn people off?

Either way: Ante Up. Looks like fun.

And Danke.

The link doesn't work, but I think I remember hearing about this one. I'll pass for now, might be worth a rent later.

And a welcome to the board as well.

My eyes shall be peeled; thanks for the heads up.

My y'all are a friendly bunch.

Thanks.

Youtube the trailer I guess? I'm not much of one to see movies in the theater (though I am making an exception for Solomon Kane if it's ever released stateside, It's supposed to be a faithful adaptation.)

Trailer for *that* movie is there too. It's been released in France, but no one's picked it up for a NA release. Robert E. Howard is damn fine reading, and if this is as faithful as they claim, I'm all for it.

Nice to see one of my favorite character from The Wire in another role. I am a big fan of the Vertigo comics. So far they have made in to some pretty good movies. I'd like to see them make a movie of your avatar picture, 100 Bullets if I'm not mistaken?

Correct: Milo Garret, the Bastard.

Personality wise, I'm more like Milo, but my personal favorite is Wylie Times.

I dunno, Constintine was pretty abysmal. Were there any other Vertigo films?

I see 100 Bullets more like an HBO mini-series, or ongoing Showtime series. I just don't see it in movie form, at least not easy. Certain things in there were too brutal for American audiences to see on the big screen.

V for Vendetta was fittingly enough a Vertigo comic/movie.

True, but it was pretty abysmal too.
