I watched "Looper" just yesterday on BluRay. Wow. What a great film.
I'm telling you this because I think a lot of you will feel the same. It has an amazing blend of genres, from science fiction to action to thriller to horror (Watch out for the amputations and mutilations ... and of course "Rain Maker") ... you'll love it.

WHAT THE FORK? A feature film? Maybe a lifetime movie or something. I've read these books and if this guy used the term OK any more often, he would have to pay taxes on it. Where's my Repairman Jack movie Hollywood? When are you going to start making awesome again?

And I mean 'worst' as in horrifying:

Megan is Missing seems an unassuming title, but believe me it's not.

Here's a review from another viewer that pretty much sums it up:

The movie does a great job showing lives of two young, somewhat spoiled teens as well as turning into a gruesome depiction of horrors of child kidnapping. The acting is good for a non-Hollywood actors and looks presentable overall. Even though there is not a single picture or footage from real cases, it remains believable throughout the movie and beyond. The message is incredibly clear, you'll know.

I would not recommend this movie to anyone who have not seen death or struggle in real life to compare to. Final 22 minutes of the movie will stick to the walls of your brain without ability to scrape it off. Think well before seeing this movie, because you will not be able to "unsee" it. For those who compare it to something like Saw, Hostel, Silence of the Lambs or another horror Hollywood movie, you can't. The difference is that this one is done to believe in actions that happened in the movie. You will have a strong feeling that it actually happened. Don't let the genre trick you, it is more of a horror than a drama.

I would not recommend to watch this movie if you want to play on your nerves. Please see it for awareness sake ONLY.

Bottom line: It is well done movie made to raise awareness of internet predators and child kidnapping. If you dare to watch it, prepare to get shocked.

And keep your kids safe!

I watched this movie on Netflix recently, and the reviewers are correct: you cannot 'unsee' this movie. I honestly don't think I could watch it ever again. It is not a movie to be enjoyed in the least, but rather a movie to inform, although in a gut-wrenching sickening way. I've seen a lot of horrible movies in my lifetime, but this is the first one that's ever stolen a piece of my soul.

If you have children, especially teens that frequent chat rooms on the internet, and have never thought twice about it, think twice about it.

(received in email - very clever)

SOCIALISM
You have 2 cows.
You give one to your neighbour.

COMMUNISM
You have 2 cows
The State takes both and gives you some milk.

FASCISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and sells you some milk.

BUREAUCRATISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both, shoots one, milks the other and then throws the milk away.

TRADITIONAL CAPITALISM
You have two cows.
You sell one and buy a bull..
Your herd multiplies, and the economy grows.
You sell them and retire on the income.

VENTURE CAPITALISM
You have two cows.
You sell three of them to your publicly listed company, using letters of credit opened by your brother-in-law at the bank, then execute a debt/equity swap with an associated general offer so that you get all four cows back, with a tax exemption for five cows.
The milk rights of the six cows are transferred via an intermediary to a Cayman Island Company secretly owned by the majority shareholder who sells the rights to all seven cows back to your listed company.
The annual report says the company owns eight cows, with an option on one more.

AN AMERICAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You sell one, and force the other to produce the milk of four cows.
Later, you hire a consultant to analyse why the cow has died.

A FRENCH CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You go on strike, organize a riot, and block the roads, because you want three cows.

AN ITALIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows, but you don’t know where they are.
You decide to have lunch.

A SWISS CORPORATION
You have 5,000 cows. None of them belong to you.
You charge the owners for storing them.

A CHINESE CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You have 300 people milking them.
You claim that you have full employment and high bovine productivity.
You arrest the newsman who reported the real situation.

AN INDIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You worship them.

A BRITISH CORPORATION
You have two cows.
Both are mad.

AN IRAQI CORPORATION
Everyone thinks you have lots of cows.
You tell them that you have none.
Nobody believes you, so they bomb the crap out of you and invade your country.
You still have no cows but at least you are now a Democracy.

AN AUSTRALIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
Business seems pretty good.
You close the office and go for a few beers to celebrate.

A NEW ZEALAND CORPORATION
You have two cows.
The one on the left looks very attractive..

A GREEK CORPORATION
You have two cows borrowed from French and German banks.
You eat both of them.
The banks call to collect their milk, but you cannot deliver so you call the IMF.
The IMF loans you two cows.
You eat both of them.
The banks and the IMF call to collect their cows/milk.
You are out getting a haircut.

Greetings everyone,

whilst browsing for FPW ebooks for my kindle a few days ago I stumbled upon a suspiciously cheap version of Cold City (only $ 3,46) published by "Wilsongs" and upon further investigation cheap versions of pretty much every other book by FPW (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_i_1?rh...1355839901). The books have rather cheesy, cheap looking covers for the most part, but seem to contain the genuine texts. As I cannot imagine Tor being okay with FPW self-publishing "Cold City" on Amazon for $ 3,46 I assume that this is some kind of fraud, even though some of the titles by Wilsongs look like the ones FPW has actually self-published (Quick Fixes etc).

If anybody could shed some light on this matter for me, I'd be very grateful.

Kind regards,
David Rain

PS: I have already written an e-mail to FPW about this a few days ago, but as I haven't received an answer, I thought I'd post it here.

It seems to me that if Jack ever had an interest in politicians (fat chance) that he would be a Ron Paul suppporter. The main stream media has always tried to make this guy out to be a quack but it's hard to argue with his logic and his passion for individual rights. Alas, the end may be near for our bold experiment here in the good old US of A. I am afraid that my children may have to seek out a country where their opportunities for success might be rewarded instead of divied up amongst those who choose to not even try. Here is a link to Doctor Paul's farewell address:

STORY BUNDLE - a clutch of six books (including THE SELECT by yours truly) for whatever you want to pay. Offer $8 or more and you'll get 2 extra novels. A mix of newbies and NYT bestsellers. You can even buy gift cards - a great gift for people getting e-readers for Christmas. Even if you've read THE SELECT, this is a win-win proposition.
