No spoilers, just a brief review. I thought it was good in some ways and very disappointing in others. You can defintely tell Shane Black made the movie, if you've seen Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang you'll notice a similarity in dialogue. Actors were good, action was good and the story was good. My complaint is that it should have been called Iron Everyone but Stark, because there is very little screen time devoted to Iron Man and plenty to his associates. There is a twist, some like some don't, depends on how invested you are in the comics I think. Overall, it was a pretty good movie, just not up to the hype.

One of the truly great pioneers of special effects died yesterday. I think the cinematic world is a lot worse off today. His talent and dedication to the art form was extraordinary, whether it was Talos or skeletons or a roc or Bubo, he made me love his films. Another door to yesteryear is closed.

I don't post on here these days but I just wanted to stop by and say how much I enjoyed The Proteus Cure. From start to finish it was a thrilling read. Great characters, terrific storyline. Well done on all counts (and to both writers.). I think I'll go back and re-read some of the other medical thrillers now - but first, I'm off to track down some Tracy L Carbone books.

Tim Lambesis, the lead singer of the crap wannabe metal band As I Lay Dying has been arrested for allegedly trying to have his estranged wife murdered.

I'm not really surprised that a band that isn't even creative enough to come up with an original name for the band and has to resort to ripping off the title of a famous piece of writing, isn't capable of doing anything right.

:hat:

I may just be a hardcore/diehard fpw/rj/AC fan, but I just was on goodreads and reading reviews of some of the jack books and AC. People are just terrible. I understand that my everyone has the same interests, but these people must not be reading the same books as we are! I mean, come on! I remember nights starting a jack book at 7pm and finding myself still up at 6am finishing the last few pages before work. I just picked up the haunted air this afternoon and somehow found myself reading most of it today. Like I said, I understand there are different interests but how could you not fall on love with this amazing story?!

A bunch of people have tried to get me into The Walking Dead, but I just haven't been able to do it because of this series. I feel like a guy who'd been drinking Everclear hearing about how wine coolers give such an awesome buzz. The Crossed are bar none the most evil, horrifying monsters I've ever encountered in fiction.

So, beware, if you click the link below. There will be graphic, hideous violence, sex, sexual violence and violent sex. Do not read this if you are sensitive to such things. Do not read this unless you want your reaction to The Walking Dead and similar stories to be "Man those people are lucky. They have no idea how good they have it or how much worse things could be." In any case, you have been warned:
