Yesterday I received a square, gold-leaf box about 4-5 inches wide embossed with:

THE TOMB
The First Repairman Jack Novel
New York Times bestselling author
F. PAUL
WILSON

Inside is a bifold brochure touting the special $3.99 “author’s preferred text edition” of THE TOMB due in August. It includes an except from the novel about the tainted chocolates Kusum has left for his next victim. And beneath that, a quartet of chocolate squares (two milk, two dark), each embossed with THE TOMB and my name.

Now, I gotta ask you: How cool is that? These boxes will be going out to booksellers all over the country to induce them to order lots and lots of copies of THE TOMB bargain edition, which will in turn addict more readers to Repairman Jack. MWAHAHAHAHAHA! (Sorry)

And the chocolate is good too.

Hi,

Can somebody tell me if I have to re-apply to receive the newsletter if I've changed my email address?

I've just noticed that I haven't seen one since November!

Thanks.

Kev.

My comic book dealer just called me to let me know that The Keep #4 was in. I'm considering leaving work early to pick it up. In life we all have our priorities, the new Keep is apparently at the top of my list..........I guess I need to get a life. Big Grin

Sad Andreas Katsulas, the character actor known to SF fans as G'Kar on Babylon 5 and a familiar face from Star Trek and other SF&F TV shows, died Feb. 13 of lung cancer in Los Angeles, his agent, Donna Massetti, confirmed to SCI FI Wire. He was 59.

Katsulas, a longtime resident of Los Angeles, played the Narn ambassador G'Kar for five years in the syndicated cult TV series Babylon 5, starting in 1993. He reprised the role in subsequent Babylon 5 telefilms.

Katsulas was also no stranger to Trek fans, playing Romulan Cmdr. Tomalak in Star Trek: The Next Generation. His last appearance in a Trek series was as a Vissian captain on an episode of Enterprise.

Born in St. Louis, Katsulas held a master's degree in theater from Indiana University, his official Web site said. After performing in plays in St. Louis, New York and Boston, he went on to film roles in such movies as Michael Cimino's The Sicilian, which brought him to Los Angeles, then in Ridley Scott's Someone to Watch Over Me and Blake Edward's Sunset.

Katsulas moved to Los Angeles permanently in 1986 and found scores of television and film parts in everything from TV's Alien Nation and Max Headroom to the big screen's The Fugitive, in which he played the infamous one-armed man, and Executive Decision opposite Kurt Russell and Steven Seagal.

Information on memorial services was pending at press time. Sad

OK, so I asked my physician (Dr. FPW) what he thought were the hardest FPW items to find (rare, out-of-prints, oddball items, etc). He suggested I post to the forum to get everyone's input. So, looking to build a "Top 10 list" of hardest-to-find F. Paul Wilson collectibles. I just found a "new" copy of the 1990 World Fantasy Convention program last week, which is what made me think to ask the queston. I think that might go somewhere on the list.

I'm sure someone must have mentioned this before, but I just saw Galaxy Quest again. Man, that movie is so funny. They really play up Tim Allen's 'Kirk' character as being a jerk. And on top of that it had a pretty good story too. Worth the rent for anyone who hasn't seen it. I heard in an interview that Tim Allen wants to do a R-rated sequel (the first one was PG-13).

peace and blessings:

first of all i'd just like to say that i'm honored to be among the fraternity of repairman jack fans. i'm a 33 year old african american male from trenton, new jersey and i've read every (and i do mean EVERY) fpw book. i enjoyed criss cross and did not even know infernal was out (some fan huh?). i grabbed it at the PL yesterday (public library) and was so siked i read the first 167 pages before i even left the building. not done yet. i can assure i'm not one of the ones who give details of the books (don't want to SPOIL it!). anyway, just wanted to formally intro myself and let fpw know that even cats in the hood peruse ya books. damn the beginning of infernal broke my heart!

f.p dub for prez

We just came back from seeing this movie! Cool! If you liked the 1st two, you'll like this one. More gore and surprise "deaths" than the first 2 also. But we enjoyed it. The Roller Coaster scene was awesome! Don't go if you have a weak stomach!
