Ever since Legacies, whenever I pick up a new Jack book, I wait to start reading it until the same day of the week as the book begins, and then make every effort to only read that day's section each day and not to fall behind.

At first I did this just to prolong the reading experience and keep myself from binging like a kid on Halloween night, Big Grin but then I found it accentuated the books' cliffhanger/episodic feel.

Someone tell me I'm not the only weirdo who does this. :o

Who caught the premiere of Veronica Mars last night? I don't know if I like the new opening... but generally the episode was very good. It was good to see Carpenter back even it though it was four maybe three minutes.

I finally got Harbingers tonight! I had to wait on Books a Million to get it for me. I got a gift card for my birthday and I wanted this! I can't wait to start it!

For me, one of the ways I determine the quality of a book is if I want to read it again. I'm now on my 4th re-read of "The Tomb," and it's still wonderful, fresh and exhilarating.

There are no other authors for whom I feel such an attachment. FPW, you are unique.

Did anyone watch the series premiere last night on Showtime? What a brilliant show! For those that don't know the premise:

By day, Dexter works for the Miami police working in forensics and helps solve murders. By night, Dexter is a murder... but he only kills those that deserve it: other murders. The series has some wonderful dark humor too.

If you get Showtime do check out the series.

*hand is raised*

I thought of all sorts of little ideas, individual scenes or pretty basic McGuffins, but nothing that could have worked as a whole plot to stump Jack.

I'll wait for the official "Contest is Over!" announcement before I mention any of my ideas, but then they were all pretty lame...

Hi,

I am a rookie at this, but a huge F. Paul Wilson fan. So, please go easy on me! I just wanted to see if anyone was online, and to say hello. Any fans in Cincinnati?
