I just read and enjoyed "Draculas" in ebook form on the Kindle that I received for Christmas. At the end, it seems to say that a continuation called "Draculas 2" will be released in 2011. There is nothing about Draculas 2 in the "publishing schedule" section of FPW's monthly newsletter that I just received (perhaps because FPW is not the sole author), and I wondered if a release date has been set for a Draculas 2 ebook?

I've been an FPW / RJ fan for a looong time (frighteningly old am i, young Jedi), but I haven't checked in with the forum in a while (so long that I forgot my id and had to re-register).

I think most of we RJ fans recognize that there are very few images / depictions of a Rakosh on the web, or anywhere else for that matter. I've seen all the ones I could find from this forum - some really nice work there IMHO (BTW, is Rakosh plural and Rakoshi singular?).

I'd love to see somebody organize all the available images in one site (which would maybe help convince some other folks with talent to add more).

Regardless, I always wanted to ask if anyone else on the board saw the reasonably bad second Tomb Raider film - "Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life".

Fairly late in the movie, Angelina and company are attacked by a bunch of "tree demons" in some gnarled old forest they are trekking through.

I thought those beasties were a perfect representation of the rakosh. They were only on film for maybe less than a minute, but I thought they nailed it perfectly - tall, muscular, three taloned fingers, shark-like head.

Anybody else see this film and feel the same way? I'd be interested to know if the film special effects designer that created these was an RJ fan.

If you haven't seen it, and you can fast forward through it, it's worth getting to that part.

Just wondering,

I thought this was one of the better dramas I've seen in awhile. Annette Benning and Julianne Moore are lesbian mothers of two teens. The son initiates contact with the sperm donor and when they meet the man, Mark Ruffalo, all their lives get a bit more complicated. Very smart and well-acted, definitely worth the rent.

This is the latest movie from Neil Marshall, who I have to say after his first two movies "Dog Soldiers" and "The Descent" I was a huge fan of and had very high hopes of someone I could get behind and enjoy his work for a long time.

Errrrrrrrrr!!!! Screeeeeeeeecchhhhh!!! Not so, his next movie "Doomsday" was a horrible piece of shyte that had no redeeming quality to it at all and now he offers up "Centurion" using a period I am very fond of and a locale that I love the history of, the Roman empire and its exploits into Scotland/Caledonia etc etc.

This movie is a huge stinking pile of poop. Plot holes and horrible writing, even the lovely scenery and cinematography can't save this piece of stinking crap. I kept watching hoping Neil Marshall would show some of what made me like his first two movies so much but all this movie left me with is the feeling that he shot his creative wad on the first two movies and is now going to feed us "Doomsday" and "Centurion" and any other crap he creates. Ugh, what a let down.

So for Christmas I got the boxed American Gothic DVD set. It was a short-lived horror show from 1995 that both my wife and I really liked when it originally aired-I haven't seen it since. We watched the first two episodes last night and I thought it has aged quite well; it was effectively creepy. It was perhaps best known for its producers: Shaun Cassidy and Sam Raimi. We'll always remember it as the show that gave us our son's name Caleb. Lucas Black, the kid from Sling Blade, portrayed him and Michele thought he was the cutest thing in the world so we determined that if we had a son...

Readers can get too wrapped up in dates and ages in a series that runs this long. Here's something I threw together to help me keep age relationships straight. It's not complete, but the YA books made it sort of necessary to help me keep perspective. (Any corrections or additions welcome)

What is Jacks real age? In most of the RJ books including the current book Fatal Errors,he is described as being in his mid-thirties.However when I was reading about FPW's YA Jack books, they are set in 1983, and state Jack is 14. That would mean Jack would be born in 1969-1970 making him 40-41 as of 2010. While that coincides with earlier RJ books, shouldn't the latest book describe him as being early forties?
