Two burglars killed the Clyde's wife and daughter. But because of plea bargain, one guy got a death sentence, and other guy got sentenced to only 10 years at prison.

10 years later, the revenge begin by Clyde. But soon Clyde was arrested. But even if he was arrested, revenge never end. The revenge goes on. To participants of prosecutors who released one murderer....

This one terrific thriller film,"Law Abiding Citizen" had a lot of surprise scenes. Actually, I shouted "wow" at one scene. And Gerald Butler and Jamie Foxx, their fights and tactics were thrilling.

By the way, in Japanese law system, we have not plea bargain. I don't understand why American law system have plea bargain....

Anyone see this on Adult Swim? It's Yogi Bear as reimagined by the creator of Ren and Stimpy. In it, Ranger Smith institutes a lot of rules at Jellystone with the intent of getting an excuse to kill Yogi, but instead Boo-Boo takes a stand and decides to go feral.

It is weird, semi-inappropriate for children and the only time I've ever enjoyed a Yogi Bear cartoon.

FPW or the community at large...

Looked into past threads but I didn't see this posed or answered, so I'll ask here... I'd like to complete my collection in hardback, but I'd also like to see the maximum amount of my money go to compensating the author for all the work.

Given that the publishers etc probably scan the site/forums too, I don't know if FPW can comfortably answer, but which version (physical or ebook) puts the higher amount of money in an author's pocket typically? Another question that may have been posed before, but I missed it - FPW - do you have a preferred method for readers or do you even care as long as your fans/readers get the story regardless of (compensated Smile) medium?

It's been a while since I posted anything, but a fried introduced me to this website and I immediately thought of Jack, FPW and this community. I did a quick search to see if the topic was discussed before and came up with nothing. This guys really lays out, how to disappear:

I mentioned watching PLAN NINE FROM OUTER SPACE on Joe Haldeman's Tangled Website, and Robin was kind enough to find and turn us onto this:

www.Youtube.com/WATCH?v=A7qBPPtYbY&featu=related

(Easier yet, go to Joe's site, "daily diary", and find Robin's second post after mine, 1/10, 9:54 AM,and click right onto it.)

It is stupendous. It will change your life for the better.

I'm smiling just thinking about it.

Tony Scott x Denzel Washington + Chris Pine = One great thrilling movie;Unstoppable.

Today I saw Splice, then 30 min later I saw Unstoppable.

Unstoppable is Tony Scott's typical action movie. But there were no violence scenes like True Romance, Domino, and Man on Fire. Just simply two men tried to stop the runaway train. But it was pretty good and I really enjoyed.

I’m new to the forum but have been reading Repairman Jack for a long time; this month’s newsletter mentioned not pursuing the Nightkill/Jack Nacht series because of the similarities to RJ. I think this would be a shame because while there are some definite similarities between the characters, they are really on two very different paths. RJ, to me, is the man who remains true to who and what he is. He is immutable and steadfast, when it would be easier to change. Sure, he’s mellowed a bit over the years (the love of a good partner with a lot of patience will do that…my wife will vouch for that), but he remains RJ at the core of who and what he is. He’s a man who will not swerve from his path, who needs to see justice, or at least fairness, is done. I imagine it’s what the Ally finds so appealing in RJ, not so much a moral code, but a need for balance and order (RJ’s “righting” wrongs by repairing the people and situations he’s brought into). RJ’s story is about not changing, staying true to what you believe is right and seeing it done, no matter the cost.

Jack Nacht is really at the opposite end of the spectrum. Here is a guy who’s only emotional relationship (prior to the middle of the story) was with a “father” who adopted him only to use him as a hunting trophy (reminded me of the classic “Most Dangerous Game”). He’s (understandably) emotionally damaged and pursues a morally wrong path and only at the end of the story, begins to find his path to redemption. JN’s story is about change and redemption; can he change, can he atone for what he’s done, can he evolve into a “normal” person. I don’t think folks would feel JN is simply a retread RJ; maybe at one level he’s what RJ might have become, had circumstances been different, or maybe RJ is what he might, in time, become closer to. Or maybe, facing the end of the RJ series, I would love to have another character and story to read as compelling and interesting as RJ’s has been over the years.

Please reconsider the JN/Nightkill series! Thanks for all of your stories.

A personal favorite of mine. He was robbed by Tommy Lee Jones for the best supporting actor.

RIP Mr. Postlethwaite. One of the great character actors of our time.

Has anyone seen "Kick Ass"? .....No?

Sure, this film has a lot of violence scenes(PG-13). And occasionally sadistic and frequently immoral film. But it is also breathtakingly fun and superb.

Chloe Moretz as Hit-Girl, this movie has worth to see for her. She's awesome! Big Grin
