One of my favorite sites is Listverse; they recently posted the Top 15 movies not on DVD...the Keep got mentioned. While nowhere near as good as the book, I did enjoy it in cheesy/fun sort of way.

You can read the article here: http://listverse.com/2011/02/11/top-15-m...nd-on-dvd/

I know Midnight Mass was made into a low budget (and painful) flick. What other FPW works were made into movies?

I can't believe nobody else is talking about this.

Or maybe they're talking in places I'm not.

This movie was AWESOME! For every child who grew up in the 1980s or later you need to see this immediately. Solely as a comedy, this SPVTW stands up well, but the video game-infused fight scenes were strangely a walk down memory lane.

My wife tuned out after the first fight scene and assumed I would too, but maaaaan was she wrong. Had I had more time I would have watched it several times. I may even buy it.

I just want to go on record that this movie looks dumb and boring. But I requested it for my wife.

My daughter and I both loved it. It features some of the more wonderfully unique animation I've ever seen and the story is good to boot. Aisling, the wood fairy, ranks as one my favorite cartoon characters of all time. I definitely recommend this one to anyone who enjoys animated movies and even those that don't.

And I'd say it's family friendly although there are a couple of intense moments.

It looks very interesting but the paperback price is about 12 dollars, which seems steep. I am almost tempted to download the Kindle app on my pc just to read it.

Afraid by Kilborn, who I think is Konrath as well sounds very cool as well. Even F. Paul Wilson gave a good blurb on the Amazon.com reviews that they list.

It won't get made if we don't support it!

Pledging money is easy and if the fundraising goal is not met, no one has to give anything. No risk, all reward!

It's George Romero's birthday, what better way to celebrate! Big Grin

This film starred and was directed by Frank Sinatra. Theo recorded it for me off of Encore because I once told her that my parents appeared briefly in it as extras.

My first summer job during college involved walking dogs. Back then, it was a great deal easier than now (I didn't have to clean up after them). The woman I worked for (Mary Jane Lane) was also a theatrical agent and told my parents that she could get jobs as extras for them in locally shot films.

Near the beginning of The Detective, there is a scene with Frank Sinatra and Lee Remick shot at a stadium. My parents (Jayne and Joe) told me that they had to pretend there was a game going on at the field. They had to leap up and cheer, then sit down and talk. Then, they had to do the same thing over, but without making any sound (so the stars' dialog could be heard).

I saw both my parents behind and upstairs from Frank. They both looked so young! Then, I realized that my mother was 38 at that time and I'm 20 years older now than she was back then. It gave me a kind of sad feeling, since she passed away 20 years ago this April, but she will always be young on that film in that scene. My father appeared as an extra in a number of other films that year (the private detective business was a little slow). If you ever see "Goodbye Columbus," he's the guy in glasses dancing the Hora with a fat redhead at the wedding reception scene and having a helluva time!

Believe it or not, this was the first time I had ever seen the film. It actually was quite good, had some complicated plot turns, and interesting character development.

Now Tyler Perry looks like Alex Cross should! They are making the movie, "I, Alex Cross". As much as I like Morgan Freeman he just wasnt Alex.
