OK, so far I'm loving this show. But I haaaaaaaate Skylar. She is completely unsupportive in a way that looks supportive.

The obvious companion to the hated ads thread.

I'll start- I love the aflac commercials with the duck and the pigeon, and the pigeon says "majormedical" and "pays the doctors, boyz" and they are dancing in a circle at the end. Cracks me up every time!

We just lost one of the great ones. Gene Colan, 84 has left us. His art was an amazing combination of shadows and motion. While others at Marvel were told and taught how to emulate Jack Kirby, Stan Lee let Gene be himself.



I have all his Daredevils, the first 30 issues of Tomb of Dracula, and I even own an original art page from Detective Comics.

And of course there is Howard the Duck.

Is it just me or are the commercials for 1800 Tequila the most annoying, stupid commercials ever? Okay maybe not ever but they are number 1 in my book for being annoying as hell and stupid.

What are some that bug other people?

This isn't even the worst one. The ones with the stupid questions like "what happened to men? blah blah blah..be a tough man and drink this tequila" are much worse.

Did they ever release An Enemy of the State, or did they fold before then? Just wondering because I can only find the first two on my shelf.

I read this article yesterday about self published John Locke reaching a milestone for ebook sales. All the books are $0.99 so I bought the first one of his Donovan series. Has anyone here read him yet and have any opinions they can share? I am going to read it soon as I finish Lanague.
