I'm about half way through reading Midnight Mass (brilliant so far) and as well as finding your all time favourite word (maw, just in case anyone doesn't know) have found a number of your book titles scattered throughout the text. The Keep, The Tomb and Nightworld have all featured so far. Are there anymore? Will I have found subliminal adverts for the whole FPW collection by the time I finish the book?

I was just curious to know if the book The Legacies was ever put out in hardback. I have been looking and I just can't seem to find it. Thanks for any help.

I forget who it was (sorry), but I have to thank them for turning me on to "The Select." I picked up a used copy and started reading it yesterday, and I'm already halfway through it, and now I can't wait for lunch so I can read some more (what the hell is up with that place? -- don't tell me Big Grin ). Thank you, Dr. Wilson, for another excellent read.

On another topic, has a release date been announced for a paperback edition of "Gateways"? I received my paperback of "The Haunted Air" today and, while it'll be a while before I'm ready for "Gateways"--I still haven't read "All the Rage" or "Hosts" yet--it just got me to thinking.

Thank you all.

I saw a DVD from this UK TV show (Via Netflix) and it's very funny.

Finished _Midnight Mass_ last night (cuz I'm impatient and couldn't wait for the Cemetery Dance copy). Excellent book! It was terrific to read a vampire book that depicted the bloodsuckers the way they should be. There wasn't any "I'm so tormented and beautiful, woe is me, why don't you love me, and why can't I view the sun as the lucky mortals can" crapola. The characters were fantastic, and the ending unexpected. Thanks for another great story Paul!

I don't remember anyone mentioning this so I just wanted to let everyone know that Gauntlet Press has posted the bookcover of Crisscross. You can find it at here.

I've started writing the next Jack (working title: INFERNAL) and came into a situation (not in the outline) where Jack has to ditch his AMT .380 backup.

Any suggestions for a replacement? (Remember, it's got to fit in an ankle holster.)

I just recently bought an audiobook version (abridged, but read by Elisabeth Shue) of "The Select". Are any other of FPW's novels available in audiobook format?

Spoke to Barry Rosenbush yesterday. Here's the way things look:

The film will be shot in Shanghai. Because of the great temple locations available to them for the flashback, they wanted to know if they could switch from Indian mythology to Chinese. (They don't have to ask -- they own the rights -- but they did.)

I said it was okay with me -- as long as Jack stays Jack.

Yes, Jack will be Jack and the setting will be NYC. (Shanghai has excellent NYC street sets.) But Kusum and Kolabati will be Chinese, and the rakosh will be changed to something drawn from Chinese mythology.

This is all window dressing as far as I'm concerned, and irrelevant to the story.

So, they met this week, decided the elements they needed to change, and gave it to the scripter.

One problem: Chris Morgan, who's been rewriting Repairman Jack for two years now, has signed on to write the third Fast & Furious. Because of that commitment, he won't be able to turn in the Jack rewrite until June.

They tell me this will be the last major rewite. But I've heard that before.
