It is a long time since I visited here. I'm still travelling around Japan. Sometimes I return to home but soon go out.

Right now, I'm in home. But last week I visited in Shikoku. Because I wanted to see the most beautiful river in Japan. It's Shimanto River.

Look at this. This is Shimanto River! Big Grin

The Shimanto River is famous as Japan's last pristine river.

I also went to Katsura Shore.

Just re-reading "The Haunted Air" and wondering if anyone else thought that Dr. Wilson does an amazing job of reproducing the Detroit patois of the Kentons, particularly Charlie. Trouble is, I'm a middle-aged white female so I probably am not the best judge. It just seemed to ring really true to me.

Now that we got our income tax refund in we decided to buy guns. We like to go shooting at the range around the corner. We'd been renting different ones over the past couple of months to figure out what to get.

My husband settled on a Springfield XD Compact 45 while my son and I went in halves to get a FNH FNX-9 9MM. The only problem now is finding the ammo. Everyone is out of stock. I managed to find 1 box at Walmart for my 9MM but we were able to grab 5 boxes of 45's for my husband. Can't wait to shoot it! I couldn't when we bought it because even the gun store has been out of most ammo.

I have seen Zero Hour, but am nonetheless determined to enjoy it. I therefore decided that it takes place here http://www.ravensrook.com/torg/illithicar.html

Over the last three years my cable bill has gone up $30, from $75 to $100. In the last month alone it went up $10. This is just for basic cable and internet. We're not getting any new stations, faster internet speeds, or evening using On Demand PPV, it's just Comcast jacking prices up.

I'm finding it hard to justify spending $100 for internet and basic cable, or the equivalent over the air channels. So I'm looking to drop cable and get an OTA antenna. The problem is I'm in a condo complex so I'm not sure how well an antenna will work. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good quality antenna with a strong signal that isn't real expensive? I'll go up to $70 or $80 but, that's about it. I need something that I can just hook up in the condo, not on the roof.

I know not everyone is an animal lover but those that are will understand.

most people here know I am deployed to Afghanistan and let me tell you its no fun here. but today on my way back to work from lunch a Navy dog handler was walking by. I wasn't going to stop because some handlers don't like you petting their dogs but some two women stopped and asked if it was okay and the Navy girl said yes. so I got to pet Dino a bomb tech dog for a few minutes and he was great! very loving. And just getting to pet him for those few minutes put a smile on my face for the rest of the day even though it made me missmy pets it was worth it. animals have such a calming affect its truly amazing.

I hope I get to see Dino again and as small as this base is Im sure I will.

As I stated in the previous thread, this program does exist. Now I signed up and got my first cup of joe from Green Beans. All you get is a regular cup of coffee, if you want anything special you have to pay for it.

I know at some of the other bases here in Afghanistan this may be a good program for joes that cannot get to the mess hall or do not have a 24 hour mess hall like we have where I am, but I think I'm going to unsubscribe. It is closer for me to walk to the mess hall than it is to Green Beans and I can get the same thing for free at the mess hall.

I'll unsubscribe so maybe another joe that doesn't have the same facilities as we have (or those facilities within walking distance...everything here where I am is within walking distance) can enjoy this program.

I can't believe you gave Vicky hot chocolate in Fatal Error! Greetings from the UK. I'm both a very old and very new fan. I read The Keep when I was a teenager in the early 80s, and Reborn/Reprisal/Nightworld when they came out. I read The Tomb / The Touch after Nightworld. But somehow, I only recently found out about the RJ books. I'm sort of pleased, as I get to read them all in one go. About a quarter of the way through, I tracked down all the Secret History stories, and read them in order as best I could. I've only got The Dark at the End, and the revised Nightworld to go. I couldn't bear reaching the end, so I started on Cold City. Anyway, I love the books. Thanks for writing them. (PS - despite having the original 6 paperback Adversary books, I've read the rest on the Kindle. There's quite a few OCR errors in some of them. It would be nice if they were chaptered properly too - the Kindle sees most of them as one big chunk.)
