This thread is not based in reality. That said, if you could make a movie, any movie, any genre, any plot, and put your favorite actors in it, who would they be? They may or may not work well together in real life. Who cares. This is a place for you to cast your favorite actors all in one film. Feel free to cast the dead, too.

In no particular order:
Christian Bale
Christopher Walken
Marlene Dietrich
Willem DaFoe
Parker Posey
Ian McShane
Morgan Freeman
Toni Colette
Kevin Spacey
Madeliene Stowe
Daniel Day Lewis
Gene Hackman
Ryan Reynolds
Benecio Del Toro
Dan Hedaya
Ray Winstone
Bill Paxton
Young Bette Davis
Will Farrell (in a small hysterical cameo)
Harry Shearer
Kate Winslet
Christopher Guest
Gabriel Byrne
Miranda Richardson
Ben Kingsley
Meryl Streep
Ricky Gervais

There are more, but I'll stop for now.

Problem solved.

I just ordered one of them new combo VHS/DVD player recorders from Amazon.com. It's got one touch dubbing, Paul. I can convert those bulky tapes to superior quality DVD's. for you in no time at all.

To make this convenient for you, I have formulated several possible scenarios to fit in with your schedule.

Plan A: Send the tapes to my house by secure carrier and I will forward the DVD's as they are created so you can view them at your leisure.

Plan B: I can meet you at a location mid-point between Jersey and Maryland where we can load the tapes in my car. How about Exit 7A on the NJ Turnpike?
Great Adventure Theme Park is there. We could make a day out of it. Do you like roller coasters? They got some dillies, I tell ya. And a log flume ride, but let me tell you right now that if you want to ride in the front seat, you're going solo my friend. That seat always gets soaked and I would not venture the thought of exposing the public to the sight of my slightly overweight middle aged self in a wet t-shirt. Hey, wouldn't it be a hoot if we wore our Isher Sporting Goods T-shirts??

I just re-read this post so far. I expect some of the boardwalkers will think I've lost one of my paddles. It would be foolish of me to think you would let the only copies of the FTL out of your possession. so.....

PLAN C: I am willing to move into your home for however long it takes to make these DVD's. I could sleep on your sofa, I have my own tempurpedic pillow, and I would of course wear a sensible bathrobe. Mine's blue, Paul, with white piping. And I'd be happy to treat you and the missus to dinner. Do you like Chinese buffet? My favorite is General Tso's Chicken. I've been eating it since it was Lieutenant Tso's Chicken.(ha ha) What's your favorite? Of course, any cuisine you prefer would be fine with me, as long as they take Diner's Club. Oh, you know what, I could get the local edition of the Entertainment coupon book. I'll make some calls.

So, just PM me to let me know how we can get this done.

P.S. I would like to make a copy for myself as well, if it wouldn't be violating any copywriting laws or rights or anything like that.

"Extras" on HBO has to be the funniest show I've seen in years. OMG, Ricky Gervais has done it again. Kate Winslet guest starred and was hysterical, too. Dave, have you seen it? I bet you have and I bet you loved Kate in full nun gear, wimple et al, cigarette in hand and feigning phone sex. Fabulous! I can't wait to see it again.

Well I talked myself into watching this movie today. Kept putting it off because I thought it wouldn't be worth the time. I hadn't even bothered to read reviews or learn who was in it. Adam Sandler stepping in to Burt's shoes?? Come on!! Just another failed remake. Right?

Well...have to say I liked it!! Funnier than I expected, and well made. Lot of people in the film that I was happy to see. And Sandler did a good job. Funny without being his old self. Kevin Nash was great. Burt actually taking a shot from Bosworth. Sandler taking on Romanowski - I'd like to know what was going through Adam's mind before shooting that scene. I've seen Bob Sapp before on tv. In a word - frightening. (Was this The Longest Yard or The Green Mile?) But where in the hell did they find Dalip Singh?!?!?! 7'2", 400lbs.....of muscle???? Freakish.

I still prefer the original to the remake but I definitely wasn't disappointed. Maybe I just expected a real turd and was served a turd-substitute instead? Rolleyes

Just now, I watched The Punisher. It's not Thomas Jane's film. Maybe I guess some people saw Dolph Lundgren's version. I've never seen this before.

Actually, I didn't like Dolf Lundgren ever. But this "The Punisher" was good. Maybe this is his best movie. Thomas Jane's action was very smooth and speedy. On the other hand, Dolf Lundgren's action was very heavy and powerful. I like both of them, but I rather prefer new version. But if I didn't see T. Jane's The Punisher, I couldn't see this old version. I even didn't know this old version. :o

Which do you like, 1989 version and remake?

So... what did you think? The guy that was in the quarantined area was a surprised but not the revelation of who he was. I want to know what this light was that shot out of hatch.

I still hope this isn't some sort of passage to heaven tale. With all the memories they're reliving I can't help but think this may end up being a "life flashing before the eyes" story which will really bum me out.

If anyone is interested, we held the final round of auditions last night for our upcoming horror feature Dead in the Water. This was the third time we've auditioned: the first time was at the University of Stevens Point Wisconsin and twice in Chicago. The actors we've chosen look good together and seem to have good chemistry.

All the actors have been notified and we are waiting to hear back from two of them in regards to their schedules.

So what happens next? Dave is finishing up the latest draft of the script and we (as in the producers and I) are working on the shooting schedule. We we also be starting rehearsals shortly.

The time is fast approaching for the shoot. Just two weeks to go.

So, if you can, help us out by buying a cool t-shirt from our on-line store: http://www.cafepress.com/rpmfilms or feel free to contact us if you're in the mood to become an investor (more information is located at our website: http://deadinthewater.rpmfilms.com).

Tonight is finally the season premire of Nip/Tuck. I've been waiting a looong time! Last year it was a summer show so the season finale was about a year ago. I can't wait for the 90 minute premire tonight. If you haven't seen this show, check it out. It's pretty unrealistic, but it's absolutely addicting!

Invasion starts tomorrow. That's the only new show I really wanted to catch and I'm looking forward to that too. Hopefully it will be a good one.

Usually we can get The Keep, the publisher is Fusosha. Now all FPW's books are from this publisher(except The Touch, Implant, The Select). The Keep was published in 1994 from Fusosha.

But The Keep was published from Kadokawa before. That is original. Now Kadokawa edition's are out of print. Today I went to used book store, and luckily I found The Keep Kadokawa edition. Kadokawa edition was published in 1984.

This is very rare stuff. But one problem is I got vol.2 only. Well, someday I'll get vol.1.

I compared both version's contents. Both version's translator is one person, Mr.Masahiro Hirose. Nevertheless, I found both contents are finely different. Big Grin

This is Kadokawa edition's cover. Can you see "城 塞"(Jo-sai) ? That's original Japanese title.

Today I saw Nothing in theater....It's movie's title, "Nothing".

I was confused by it. Normally, I go to theater without a preliminary knowledge. This movie's director is Vincenzo Natali. He made brilliant horror movie, "CUBE". So I thought this "Nothing" is horror movie. But, I don't know what I'd say. This is not horror movie, but it was scary and funny comedy. Think about it. If suddenly you found your outside of house disappeared and remains are your house and your family(friend), what do you do?

Anyway it was very hilariously funny movie, some of scenes were absurd though. Especially, at the last scene.......ugh! Too grotesque! Big Grin

If you found it in rental store, rent and see it. And tell me your thoughts.
