I saw the Broadway play, "The Vertical Hour" last night, starring Julianne Moore and Bill Nighy. Moore was atrocious and Nighy stole the show. He was absolutely magnificent and a joy to watch.

Nighy was in "Love Actually;" he played the hilarious aging rock star undergoing a possible come back. He was also Davy Jones in the second "Pirates of the Caribbean," but who knew it was he under all that octopus makeup?

At any rate, I was stunned by how bad Moore was from the moment she opened her mouth. One of the hallmarks of great stage acting is the ability to fully inhabit your body. Moore seemed unaware that she had more on stage than just her talking head.

Nighy, on the other hand, fully projected his character from head to toe. Even when another actor had a monologue, Nighy listened actively and was so much more interesting to watch than anyone else on stage The actor who plays his son did give Nighy a run for his money, though.

Moore needs to stick to movies with heroines on the edge of a breakdown. She came to life just briefly on stage when her character faced down some demons.

We had 3rd row seats, and while we were way over on the right, it just so happened that Nighy played a good portion of the show from that spot. How lucky was I.

Hi Community!

I have a question to you. One of my collegues at work made me a present: "Deep As The Marrow" (Wow, she is very attentive that she noticed I like reading Pauls books! haven't expected that! Yeah!)

Now my question: I haven't found this book on http://www.repairmanjack.com so, what is the book like? Not story but, it is in a circle or something? Or can I just read it with out knowing some other books?!

Greets and thanks,

Jamo

SPOILER ALERT

I'm about 3/4th's done with The Haunted Air and I must say that I've started to get turned off by it. I'm not sure why, but I think it has something to do with Gia. I don't like how she's so deteremined to change Jack.

Yeah, I know she's pregnant and all that, but it just seems that she's way too self-centered. I don't see her as wanting Jack to change and stop his fix-its for him, but for her and Vicky. Also, the fact that she has started doing things, against Jack's will, just lessens her creditability IMO. She's going off and playing reporter (like her own little fix it) IOT determine more about the dead girl and what she can do to "help". It just seems very self-centered to me. "Oh Jack won't like me doing this, but I'm going to do it anyways." (Paraphrasing there) And her little tirate about child molesters was just so pathetic. I literally laughed out loud when I read it because is was just so "fake" (sorry FPW)

Ok, well I guess I don't really like The Haunted Air because of Gia. I understand her neccessity, but she's still really friggin annoying. It won't make me stop reading RJ, but I hope the rest of the books aren't as sappy when it comes to stuff like this. I want more fix-its...not lovey dovey, oogly googly Gia crap.

Ok, I'm done. Any thoughts?

Did everyone on here who ordered (from Shocklines.com) get their Thingy in time for Christmas? If not, PLEASE email me at [email protected] and I will find a way to make it right. Everyone SHOULD have it by now, but with the United States Postal Service, delivery isn't 100% guaranteed so I need you to let me know if there were any problems (this goes for international orders as well).

Thank you, and thanks to everyone for the support at Shocklines.com.

POTENTIAL TOMB SPOILER

Interesting thread over on a newsgroup. It doesn't mention Jack, but touches on the way he saves Vickie.

This looks a lot better than I was expecting from Michael Bey.

Shrek III trailer

I didn't like Shrek 2 nearly as much as the original, but this one has potential. Maybe. [Image: shrug.gif]

I'm unclear as to the relation of these three works, and how the story "Good Friday" comes into play. Would/could someone lay out how they're related?

I've read the novell from 1990, have seen the DVD, haven't read the novel, and don't remember reading "Good Friday" if I did.

I did search and read previous posts on this topic but couldn't get it all straight in my head, I guess. Sad

Thanks!
