I have a son due in Feb so needless to say I am busted broke, but I am dying to read Reprisal and Nightworld. Everywhere I look online they cost a good chunk of change. Is there a decently priced out of print book site online?

Gang, I'm the first to admit there's a lot I just =don't get.= I know it's good, I know it's weathered the test of time... But I just don't =get= it. Opera comes to mind. Hip-hop too. And let's not forget Jane Austen novels.

Likewise torture porn. Can someone please explain its appeal?

Maybe I'm weak, but I just can't bear the thought of women being hurt. I think our job as men is to =protect= women. Not to watch a film where they're in helpless agony, weeping, screaming, begging for rescue that won't come. The idea sickens me. I find it literally nauseating.

What am I missing?

I just finished Bloodline on Friday and I've had RJ withdrawls all weekend. So this morning I ordered my copies of Night Screams and The Thriller Anthology to read The Wringer and Interlude at Duane's. Any feedback on those stories?

Review of The Fifth Harmonic

My month for TV shows apparently. In addition to Reaper, I have also started Season 6 of The Sopranos and got the first disc of Season 1 of 30 Rock, which I'm finding pretty damn funny. Alec Baldwin being a jerk may be the reason he portrays such a convincing one in this show-he steals every episode which is saying something because the rest of the cast is solid in their quirkiness.

The Sopranos has gotten off to a really slow start in my opinion-2 entire episodes with Tony in a hospital bed made for less than thrilling viewing.

This is my first post on the forums although I have been a HUGE fan of RJ for almost a year now. Read the first 10 books of RJ on a 7 month deployment. Anyway as the title suggests ever since I read the end of Infernal the question has always nagged me... What happend to Tom? Where did he go? Is he going to make a comeback in a later novel? Maybe changed by the otherness? I know it's kind of silly to be hung up by something as small as that but it's just always nagged me =).

Also, does anyone else think it would be interesting if FPW published The Compedium of Srem? Something like the Necronomicon where it has like all sorts of weird info in there. Like all the Infernals and the q'qur etc etc. Make it all pretty, so it would look like what it would if it was real. You can even go all out and print it in different languages. I know I'm shooting REAL far out but I would gladly spend any amount of $ for something like that.

Having just started a new job, I have a new batch of co-workers and the topic of reading came up in conversation. The one person(out of nine) who reads mentioned she enjoyed King and Koontz so I casually asked if she knew F. Paul, she didn't . I decided to correct that deficiency with The Keep. She started it right away and yesterday informed me that she wasn't sure she could continue because it was scaring her so badly. I convinced her to keep going, though.

Thought it might provide a smile for FPW.
