I enjoyed Spaced. Just now I finished watching all 14 episodes. That's one of funniest TV series. It's very unique and it has originality. Somebody said "This is British version FRIENDS", but I thought this is better than FRIENDS.

Someone noticed Ricky Gervais was in one episode? And John Simm (Life on Mars) played Stephen in one episode. Big Grin

Dr.Who, Torchwood, MI-5, The Office, Life On Mars......now I really like BBC!

First of all, I like original film. That idea(all electricity stop) was very original as classic SF movie. So when I heard about remake, I worried about it.

Today I went to a theatre see this remake version. Well....not bad, but this is not great, of course. Why should we call it "remake"? I thought we shouldn't call it as "remake". This is totally different movie. And I also thought this title should have "The Day the Earth Broke Still".

SFX and sound effect and cinematography were excellent. But some casting was mistake. I like Jennifer Connelly, so she's okay. Keanu Reeves is Klaatu? Hmm.....okay. But Kathy Bates is Secretary of Defense? John Cleese is serious professor? Gimme a break.... :dontknow:

Sorrel and I borrowed the Firefly boxset from a friend and loved every bit of it. After finishing the season, we went out and bought Serenity and loved every bit of that, too.

How on earth was it ever cancelled? Why was this programme not as popular as Heroes/Lost etc? Firefly was never even broadcast on mainstream UK television - it may have been shown on the poxy cable/satellite Sci-Fi channel but hardly anyone gets that.

I can't imagine why anyone wouldnt enjoy this show - well plotted, funny, action packed, and some very strange and memorable characters. The black bounty hunter in the season finale was fantastic fun.

Hi folks.

I haven't posted in a while. What with having read all of the RJ novels, and waiting until By the Sword came out, I had to stay away, or I'd be too tempted to read ahead to Nightworld, (not until it's chronologically correct!).

So I should be purchasing By the Sword on payday. Because of that, I've reread all of the RJ novels in the last couple of weeks. A couple things have been bugging me, and I'm sure LOTS of people have asked them.

What about the other Infernals? Will they make an appearance? When does Glaeken make himself more known to Jack, (other than watching him sleep)? When do the ladies with dogs tell Jack their true purpose? Will Jack let Lyle Kenton tell him his future? I know he stopped by briefly in Infernal, but that's it? The guy can tell the future! Will the Yeniceri play any more of a part? In The Haunted Air Tara Portman says something about how she was sent to get Gia out of the way, (or words to that effect). I'll have to assume that this was Ally inspired. Really? Was that the best that the Ally could do? A girl's ghost? That sort of half-assery makes me think 'No wonder the Otherness is winning.' Oh. Why in God's name did the Yeniceri try to kill the Heir? Regardless what Jack did to them, he's the freaking Heir! They're the Ally's tools on Earth, eh? The Ally makes me think of a drunk who just doesn't care.

Ah, I'm sure if I scoured the forums, all the little things that have been bothering me have been answered, (and these are just the tip of that particular iceberg). But between the football season, (Go Bucs! Go Gators!), my job, and the work I've been doing on my own novel, I just don't have much opportunity. Hell, those three things have BEEN my life for months now. God I need a life.

I guess the point of this rant is this: Does By the Sword answer any questions? Or does it pose more?

Today's the last day Rita can guarantee Christmas delivery of Thingy. We burned through a lot of copies but she still has some left, so if you want to take your chances...see the WELCOME page.

I'm likely beating a dead horse with this, but here goes anyway.

I'm a new fan of FPW, whom I met at the 2008 New Hampshire Liberty Forum. So I'm catching up on his fine body of work.

My problem is that I recently purchased an Amazon Kindle e-reader. [geek]
There are only a couple of the Jack novels available though. I know it's the publisher's realm to do such things but it's ridiculous to not have an entire series available in the same format.

And how hard is it to convert the novel to digital? I suspect it's already in a digital format somewhere. This is 2008 after all. And once it's converted and formatted it's pure profit! There are no books to print! Why would a business not jump on this?!

I'm a new fan who would like to read the whole series. Please tug the publisher's ear for me. Smile
Thank you.
