Here's a few interesting tidbits I've learned over the past couple of months...

Instead of 17 hours, the final season will have 18.

Here's a link to an interview with Carton Cuse and Damon Lindelof where they explain about why Libby was institutionalized (because Watros doesn't want to come back since her character was killed off and there's no way to explain it without Libby/Watros.)
Libby went crazy after her husband died, gave her stuff away (including the boat to Desmond) and was committed.
Here's the Comic-Con panel with extra videos towards the bottom of the page. You learn some things to look forward to. Nothing really spoilerish.
Dominic Monaghan will be back for 3 episodes and wrote "Am I alive?" on his hand.
And here's a clip from season one that bears a striking resemblance to a scene from the end of season five.

Only five more months.

On the very last line of page 371, Weezy Goez to a window in the Lady's apartment. The next page, she says,
They failed. Nine/eleven...the Septimus Order and Rasalom
"--

Since when did Weezy learn "R's" name? And more importantly, why is she so casually dropping it???

Just something you may or may not want to tweak before the mass market HC hits, FPW - but then, I'm willing to be corrected if I missed something here.

Otherwise, thanks for scaring the living daylights out of me once again! LOVED LOVED LOVED it!!!

Singer Al Stewart was telling me he is looking for the name of a cartoon with a song in it (he saw this back in the 50's) with the lyrics
"Honey Married Money On The First Day Of Spring..."
Any experts out there-Sing Out!!!

Here's what we did last night: I bought a cheap "Cricket" LED projector at Target for $60 on sale last year. You can hook it up to a TV, DVD player, or video game and It projects a HUGE image, so I set it up in the back yard behind our swimming pool by clamping it onto my bike work stand, plugged it into a DVD player and covered the whole thing with garbage bags so it didn't get splashed (and ran the extension cord the long way around so it couldn't get wet and electrocute us all). After the sun set, the kids all got in the pool on inner tubes and got to watch a semi-drive-in movie as I projected a Bugs Bunny cartoon ("The Bunny of Seville"), followed by "The Creature From the Black Lagoon", which my kids had never seen before, across the whole 2-story side of the house in front of the pool. They loved it, and are still talking about it today. And my eldest son is just old enough now to appreciate Julie Adams in a white bathing suit.

So, those of you who read FPW's July 1st newsletter closely, saw this update on the movie...

Quote:"The same old tug of war between who can best play the part and who can fill the seats overseas. With P&A (prints and advertising - which can run more than the entire production budget) so expensive now, and DVD sales slumping, overseas box office is critical to a film's profitability."

So, it appears that the subject of another actor, other than Reynolds, for Jack has been under discussion by someone in that group for some time.

Reynolds is a virtual non-entity overseas.

After Terminator Salvation though, Sam Worthington (Australian) DOES have credit, globally.

The plot thickens!

I watched Constantine last night and two things struck me: first I can't believe an actor as bad as Keanu keeps getting prime roles and second, I didn't much care for Peter Stormare's take on the Devil. It got me to thinking(it's rare but does happen) about the best portrayals of Satan. I couldn't generate much of list. I came up with De Niro in Angel Heart and Ray Wise from Reaper. I know there are plenty of others so what do you got?

They are setting up to have Black Widow in the Avengers movie with her appearance in Iron Man 2...and playing Natasha Romanov is:
Scarlett Johansson.
Your thoughts?

I've always had a thing for surfing(even though I can't surf) so maybe I liked it more than I should have due to the milieu, but I really enjoyed Surfer, Dude starring Matthew McConaughey. He plays a 'soul-surfer' who's asks to compromise his ideals to star in a reality show about a house filled with fellow surfers. Plus he's got to deal with a waveless draught of a couple months. The locales are beautiful and so are most of the people in the movie. It's a little meatier than I thought it would be; all in all a decent dramedy.
