I know there are a few other fans of Chris Nolan on the boards so I thought I would post this here. Here is the trailer for his new movie Inception. It is supposed to be a movie about the landscape of the mind if I remember correctly. Trailer looks very interesting, and he hasn't let me down yet so I will be going to see this.

Don't know where the actual trailer is held so here is a news story with the trailer.

This has probably been answered, but I was curious where the idea behind Repairman Jack came from. Granted, its sort of like the series that starred that British guy (who helped people who could not go to the police), but not exactly. Sure, Jack is the Heir, but Jack was not originally the star of a horror series - he was just the fix-it guy who took your troubles and made them better - he kicked ass against the guys playing three-card-monty in Central Park - and where did he get that name? Yes, I know what the name represents and what it can be confused for, but where did FPW originally think it up?

If this has been answered before, I forgot. I forget a lot.

"The Peabody-Ozymandias Traveling Circus & Oddity Emporium" just went live on the Kindle store:

Since it's not a full novel, I priced it at $1.99.

I apologize if this has already been covered, but is there a planned reprint of the Keep in the works. Or will the original at least be rereleased. It's a tough book to find these day.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Brian

It doesn't seem anyone has mentioned this nifty fantasy film. We opened our double feature with it and I thought it was quite good(I really like the book its based on as well). The acting was solid, the effects were good and the adaptation was fairly true so if your looking for a good family film or just enjoy a good fantasy then I'd recommend it.

What is your take on the best show and movie of the decade? Have seen a lot of lists and thought I would bring the discussion here as the decade is coming to an end. It can be a list or a single of each or however you want it.

Tv Show:For me this has to be a toss up between Lost and The Shield. Lost has been one of those shows that seemed to come out and risk a lot and just not be afraid to turn people away if their show was too heavy or hard to get into. To me it also has had some of the best writing and best characters on tv hands down.
The Shield I would have to put up there as it was just riveting great tv. When tv was overpopulated with cop dramas and csi's The Shield came out and was a completely different cop show. It was gritty it was dark, and it was different. I never saw a show that brought out such different emotions then this show from the very first episode.

Movies:For me my favorite movie of the decade has to be Memento. A different movie with a different way of telling the story that I found confusing at the same time genius.

Merry Christmas to me: this weighty box arrove with a return address of "Criterion." Inside is the "AK 100" collection - 25 Kurasawa films in a beautiful red linen-bound box. But no clue as to why I received it or from whom besides "Criterion" (who packages the set). But to whomever and whatever: THANK YOU!

I've seen only the classic, iconic Kurasawas. "Red Beard" has already been recommended. Any other standouts?

I may be a little late to jump on the YA bandwagon, but I finally got around to reading Secret Histories. I actually stopped reading "Ground Zero" because I realized it is intricately tied to SH.

I am LOVING this book. It is a bit sad though knowing what we know about Jack's Family years down the road.

I love all the pop-culture references from the 80's! And Weezy just might be one of my favorite characters since Poppy in Deep as the Marrow.
