I'm unable to get any copies ordered to my store, and it's only being sold used at Amazon. Wazzup.

After my friend read Nightworld, he said "That was great! And, last battle reminded me of Battle at Ganryu-jima".

"Musashi Miyamoto vs. Kojiro Sasaki, battle at Ganryu-jima" is well known story in Japan. Glaeken=Musashi, Rasalom=Sasaki, Central Park=Ganryu-jima.....yeah, it makes sense to me.

If you don't know about their story, check it. I'm not sure Glaeken was artist, but Musashi's sword skill was like Glaeken.

Paul, did you read their story, and it influenced you? Or coincidence? Smile

I watched most of this documentary that uses this inside joke popular among comedians as its focal point. Apparently the joke comes out after the lights have gone down. I did get a few chuckles, but the sheer amount of depraved humor concerning incest, bodily fluids and beastiality wore me out before the end credits. My favorite bits were the comics that chose the higher road in their telling of the joke, although Carlin's version was quite funny despite it's incredibly gross nature. The mime was also pretty funny. Know what you are getting into before you watch this one.

Its been a while since I read it and I loaned out my copy and as usual havent received it back yet to check...and I have yet to see the updated version so.....

pieces of the weapon have to collected from across the globe and give to Mr Haskin's tenants to rebuild. the Keeper's necklaces are a big part of this, but the focus is all on the metal- what about the stones?
there's such a strong emphasis on the quality of the stones in Rakoshi and the original/updated Tomb, but where do these stones go after the weapon is reforged?
the stones themselves were never really explained, no specific type of stone just decribed as like amber with the pupil like centers...and that these necklaces are pre-vedic, which , as Abe so bluntly states, makes it O-L-D. you have to wonder what they are to have been durable enough to last a millenium (or more)..and where are they now????

Note: This is a thread for us EXCITED fans, who ARE looking forward to the new Indiana Jones movie, who DON'T think that the franchise - and of course Mr. Ford - is too old. If you have "meh" stuff to say, take it elsewhere, please. On with the excitement!

From JoBlo.com:
-------
Rumor has it the movie will start shooting in June, and if Box Office Mojo is to be believed (and let’s face it, they know their numbers), Paramount Pictures has slotted INDIANA JONES AND THE CREAKY FRANCHISE for Thursday, May 22, 2008.

UPDATE from Spielbergfilms.com -- the release date is official, and it's a WORLDWIDE release on that day.
-------
HOORAY!!

Granted there's still a copy of the original PB of Conspiracies at a nearby Borders, but c'maaaan...

Is there at least a cover in the works for the "new" edition, à la The Tomb and All the Rage, available for visual scrutiny?

I just looked at my collection of "newer" RJ books and it made me wonder. These covers are finally growing on me.
