It was discovered that the sword on the original cover image was not a katana, so two new covers have been designed. Any preferences?

Today is a very sad day for me. As a tried and true Golden Girls fan it saddens me to report that Estelle Getty who played Sophia Petrillo, the wise-cracking mother to Bea Arthur's Dorothy Zbornak has passed away. She was 84 years old due to turn 85 this coming Friday.

She had been suffering from Lewy Body Dementia for the past several years.

Her health had slowly slipped in the last few years, robbing her of her memory and ability to effectively communicate. Ms. Getty's assistant had been giving periodic updates on her website. He reported the news today.

More information on Estelle Getty's death can be found here

Looked for a thread on this movie. Couldn't find one. Here's mine.

WALL-E is the latest Pixar flick, but it goes beyond what they've done before. The closest I can describe it is as a Heavy Metal comic story. It is great Sci-Fi. It has its funny moments, but the sf is straight-forward serious. If you liked "Silent Running" which is comparable in pathos and bathos, I think you'll like WALL-E. The little ones will like the little Chaplinesque robot; the older ones will enjoy the story with all its "green" warnings.

I can't possibly be the first to have checked it out(just got back) and it is well worth the price of admission. I think it is much better than Batman Begins. It's darker, better action, better story and one helluva finale for Heath Ledger. His performance deserves every rave its been getting; truly one of the most hypnotic pyschos to ever grace the screen. A definite theater-worthy flick.

I watched it last night and while it's not great, it should appeal to anyone with RJ's mindset. It's sort of a British version of Death Wish. I found it timely mainly because the cctv, currently being discussed in the political forum, plays a large role in the events. It stars Sean Bean as an Iraqi war veteran who upon his return is horrified by the crime and the lack of response by the police to it so he forms a team to take matters into his hands.

Private detective Sam Ruben's clever plan falls apart with the onset of amnesia. Everyone is trying to kill him and he doesn't know why.

The animation is a little crude, but the style is classy enough to shine through the low budget. I havent watched all of it yet, but I am enjoying what I have seen so far. Cool

News article here: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=n...i411UWhgkg

And website for the foundation that made the film here: http://www.pgpf.org/

It looks like the theatrical release is going to be extremely limited, but the above foundation is going to make FREE DVDs available after the theatrical release. Cool

I'm thinking this gives a whole new meaning to "must see".

It's online. I just saw it on imdb (didn't know how to post it here). It looks like McG might do an all right job.

...to find a movie as bad as Southland Tales, but Revolver by Guy Ritchie is even worse. What an incomprehensible mess. Watch Jason Statham try to act! Watch Ray Liotta go through the motions! Try to figure out just what the hell is going on! Madonna and the Kaballah have totally derailed Ritchie's once promising career.
