Jack Ketchum's "Red"!

Trailer:Red

Red is very sad story. But as a fan of Jack Ketchum's, I want to see this. I saw the trailer. Brian Cox play Avery Ludlow. I think he's good for this role.

Has anyone seen this?

From what I understand they've been going through writers like wildfire.

What about Joss Whedon? He has more experience writing good paranormal related works than most these days, he is also a writer for comics, and he also has major connections in Hollywood. If they could get his name behind the project it might kick the project in the arse.

Plus, he could probably get James Fillion as Jack.

The guy has range. not only did he create Buffy, but I am pretty sure he won an Oscar for Toy Story. That's what i call range.

Any opinions? Info?

Singer and song writer Isaac Hayes was found dead today. He was found by a treadmill by a family member, rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead there. Sad day again, another talent lost.

It comes in three's people. This I know very well.

I took my son to the drive-in last night for the twinbill of Journey To The Center of the Earth and The Dark Knight. Well worth the $8.00. JTTCOTE was exactly what it looks like; a decent popcorn movie. A few laughs, a few thrills, some good effects and some real groaners-I am kind of curious how it looked in 3D.

TDK holds up on second viewing. I don't watch many movies more than once so seeing this so soon after my initial viewing I was kind of expecting to fall asleep but it held my attention all the way through again although I did see a few chinks in its armor this time around that I was too captivated to notice the first time.

Just one word: "WORST".

Stay away from this movie. This movie is NOT about "The Mummy" any more. I liked both of first movie and 2nd movie. But this 3rd movie was.....well, what can I say....? Oh, I can say this.

NO MORE 4th movie!

Bernie Mac died today. So sad. He was only 50. I enjoyed him, and while I didn't watch his TV show often, when I did, I liked it and I liked him. I also liked him in the Ocean movies.

Hi Folks,

I'm new around here, been a fan of RJ since he first showed up in print, until I encountered him I'd thought that MacDonald's Travis McGee was the best male fictional character ever created, then Jack came along and changed my tune. Though there are some cool similarities between the characters.

At any rate, in addition to being extremely fond of RJ, I'm also a bit of an X-Files fanatic, you could call me an X-Phile I suppose. Ever since they stopped making new episodes I've been feeling a bit deprived and have often thought what a great combination Chris Charter, David Duchovny and FPW's RJ would be. What do you think, any possibility of spearheading a campaign to get Jack his own show?

By the way, where's Stephen? He said he was the president of the RJ fan club and I haven't seen him anywhere around here.

These are both CG animation. Some of you are not into this kind of film but they are worth watching. I took the descriptions from IMDB...

Vexille - Vexille 2007, Nihon Sakoku (Vexille 2007, Japan National Isolation) is set in the middle of this century, at about the edge of the foreseeable future. There has been rapid development in the areas of human-form robots, able to assist humanity with running it's civilization. Ten years ago, technology reached a point where completely human-made robots reached the peak of their potential. The trend shifted towards the augmentation of the human body, and the merging of man and machine. However, the basis and ethical implications of such technology were condemned by international treaties and organizations, and all development was banned. Japan (the world leader in robotics) was completely opposed to the condemnation, and the potential ban it found imposed on itself. Japan withdrew from the international community and went into national isolation.

Ten years later, there have been no visitors allowed in or out of Japan. There has been no cultural contact, and no shared media from Japan since the isolation. However, despite the self-imposed isolation, Japan remains the world leader in the field of robotics. The robots manufactured by the conglomerate DAIWA can be seen all over L.A., able to assist mankind with maintaining it's civilization. Before the isolation, the robotics industry was so vital to Japan that DAIWA had grown in to a colossal mega-conglomerate, with strong ties to every part of the government.

After two incidents of terrorism by DAIWA, outside of Japanese territory, America discovers that Japan may well have cyborg technology. Fearing the worst, America sends its most highly specialized team (Sword) to secretly infiltrate Japan, and gather intelligence.

Appleseed Ex Machina - Based on the manga from creator Shirow Masamune, Shinji Aramaki and John Woo follow up his 2004 take on Appleseed with this new outing which finds Deunan and Briareos as both partners and lovers. As members of ESWAT, the elite forces serving Olympus, they are deployed everywhere trouble strikes. The two fighters find their partnership tested in a new way by the arrival of Tereus who uncannily resembles Briareos before the wartime injuries that led to his becoming a cyborg. At the same time, Olympus finds itself under a stealth attack . Cyborg terrorism, deadly nanotech zealots, and rioting citizens are just some of the threats that Deunan must contend with as she fights to save Olympus! The action scenes are obviously John Woo and very cool. Quite violent, too.

Not the book. I mean Michael Mann's raping of it in the form of a film.

Its online over at Watch - movies - .com (Not putting up a link. Don't want this site to get flagged or something).

Of all the movies to pirate and put online why would anybody put that awful movie up? If you check it out wou will see my review of the film :p
