I just re-read the recent newsletter, and there doesn't seem to be any timetable for publication of the second YA book (next in line after Secret Histories). Am I missing something, or has that book's publication date not yet been set?

I haven't seen this yet, but I guess this is the worst movie of this year.

Josh Brolin plays George W Bush? Is this a comedy? :out:

what do you think about this?

Today I saw "12".

"12" is Russian movie. I guess everybody saw "12 Angry Men". Well, I'm talking about film of a remake of Sidney Lumet's "12 Angry Men". Yeah, it's another remake movie. But!!!...

But it was really good IMHO! Original was young Spanish-American is guilty or innocent of murdering his father, so 12 men gathered in jury room. Well, we know that ending, of course.

But this remake version is a little bit different. This Russian version moves the situations from the U.S. to Russia, and replaced the original murder suspect with a Chechen teenage boy accused of murdering his foster parent, a Russian officer.

If you like original, I highly recommend this. This is not simple remake. Story is very dramatic.

The ending is totally different than original. It didn't simply divide black and white. The decision was grey in ethnic conflict between Checen and Russia.

It was political than original.

It seems to me that every big movie thats come out lately is just either a remake, from a comic or is just the same crap over again. The last movie a saw in theaters was The Dark Knight and although I really enjoyed it Batman fighting the Joker is hardly a new Plot. Can anyone think of some movies that have come out recently that are entertaining and original?

The trailer might look something like this:

Seriously though, knowing a little bit about the way Hollywood works, I'm afraid that if the movie bombs, studio execs are going to look at the Jack film and think: Max Payne bombed. We can't make this! And if the film is a big hit, they'll think: Max Payne was a hit. Make Jack more like Max.

Either way, we lose.

I received an e-mail from Borderlands. Signed and lettered copies of Nightworld and other treasures for those in the market. Send a message to the link below. Good hunting.

I am aware that there are 2 versions of Nightworld (origional and revised). Can someone tell me then what the Dark Harvest version is that I see on Abebooks selling for over $300.00.

I love pimping my work, so here is some self promotion for my new short film "The Irresponsible Mrs. Pennywise". Unlike "The Quiet Darkness" and "The Bottom Down" we took a little more time for production (two days as opposed to one) and shot in HD with 35mm lenses. I have about a week to edit and get it out the door for a UK festival.

For those interested I've attached a few production stills. Once I have the short completed and up I'll post the link.

When I checked out the SNL clip, I noticed that the movie that had filmed in the hospital where I work was coming out this September. Although set in NYC, much of the interiors, the hospital scenes and some exteriors where filmed around the hospital. They used an old, not updated corridor in one of the oldest buildings and filmed near our burn unit. I'll go see it just to see how much survived the cutting room floor. Below is the web site.
