Anybody but me watching this on HBO? I was lukewarm after the first episode, but I loved the one tonight. The books are a guilty pleasure of mine, and I am truly loving Anna Paquin as Sookie.

Today I saw "Into The Wild", directed by Sean Penn. What a wonderful movie! I really loved it. Has anyone seen this?

This is a story about Chris McCandless's road trip to Alaska. I like road trip movies. Although I've never done road trip myself...

"Into the Wild" is a fabulous trip from beginning to end. It is a long trip. The running time is 2 hour and half. Despite the movie's length, Chris's quest is as harrowing as it is beautiful. The performances are outstanding. Emile Hirsch's acting was excellent. For most of the movie, I really felt I was watching the real Christopher McCandless's life on the screen.

I can't say that ending was good for him or bad for him. But apparently he looked happy, watching blue sky.

Apparently this is becoming a pretty big thing. Just heard a story about it on NPR. It would be interesting to see one on TV/radio/youtube.

Did anyone watch Abram's new series "Fringe" last night? I thought it was pretty good. Sort of a "Lost" meets "X-Files".

Just the other day, I went to a nearby Wal-Mart (yes-yes, I know, but I was pressed for time and had to get a new pair of trousers for a friend's wedding, coming soon.) I went into the fitting room...and froze when I saw this scribbled on the wall:


A bit blurry, I know (my phone is not exactly better than anyone else's), but you can see enough.

I was a tad bit spooked, to say the least.

Some weird but genuinely nice people reviewed Paul's "The Fifth Harmonic" here. Fast forward to about the 21:10 minute mark to catch the review. Not a very articulate review but they seemed thrilled by the novel.
