I can't believe I didn't know this. If you have ever watched spongebob (I have kids so it is inevitable) you know his friend Patrick Star. When I recently found out that Bill Fagerbakke from the tv series Coach and the tv version of Stephen Kings' The Stand does his voice...... M.O.O.N. That spells Patrick!! Wow! I had no idea. Making that connection between voice and face was one of those personal epiphany moments that makes everyone else just roll their eyes at me.

I've found the perfect artist for any and all of Paul's RJ and AC novels.

Dark Fantasy Artist Johnney Perkins has completed fourteen excellent black and white illustrations which will be in the soon to be published shared-world anthology SHA'DAA: LAST CALL (sister novel to SHA'DAA: TALES OF THE APOCALYPSE).

Check out these babies here:

Fans of the Toy Story series will enjoy this new installment, although it seems to be a rewrite of Part Two. But who cares?! It's funny. The new characters are clever and poignant. Ken from Ken and Barbie almost steals the movie as a Metrosexual. The ending wraps up all the loose ends re Andy growing and off to college, feeling like he's abandoning all his old friends (toys). I sat next to a crying child too young to appreciate the movie and didn't give a crap. That's how involved I was in the movie. Can't wait for the dvd.

Don't waste your money on this piece of crap. Bad dialog, so bad, it's funny. Cross between L.A. speak and a bad attempt to sound other-worldly. "The spirits are part of the world." "The battle is won in the heart." M. Night Shamalamadingdong has sunk to a new low. And avoid the 3-D version if you must go see it. Can't believe two more parts to this story are on the board. Should have made The Sixth Sense Part Two. Too bad. He's got my $11 bucks. Don't let him get yours.

I was very happy when i read Mr. Wilson's response to the other thread about "Black Wind" and some of his other older books being posted on Smashwords and Amazon on July 1st.
I see that most of them are up on Amazon, but not yet on Smashwords.
Any idea of why and when they will be posted there? I would prefer to purchase them there as I can then read them on the iPad in iBooks which I prefer to the Kindle app.
Thanks, Steve

DC's answer to Marvel's Ghost Rider, Jonah Hex is a western supernatural hero who's half Clint Eastwood (man with no name bounty hunter) and half James West, government agent under U. S. Grant. Can animate the dead, who make for good witnesses and has one foot in the grave himself, so can handle a bullet or two. Very little bounty hunting. Very loud soundtrack that swells to let you know that what's on the screen's exciting, in case you can't tell for yourself. Megan Fox is Hex's love interest--she seems to go for those disfigured tragic types who run out of snappy comebacks just half past the movie. Megan Fox fans may enjoy all the bare thigh and torturous corset cleavage, but it's all PG, so don't get your hopes (or anything else) up. John Malkovich is the typically evil villain set on world destruction rather than domination. You see, Hex killed his family and so he killed Hex's family in return, so everyone is out for revenge and the innocents get killed off like so many flies. Liked the supernatural angle. The James West angle needed more work, but overall I'd recommend this in a double-bill (I saw it with the final installment of Shrek). Or wait for the dvd. Either way, it's a good popcorn killer flick.

P.S. Did I mention HOW LOUD IT WAS?!

I got into Saving Grace a couple of seasons in and played catch up. Played long enough to reach the finale, which was tonight. Two hours to wrap things up. First off, Grace is a hard-boiled detective in the post-noir sense, breaking the rules to get justice; however, typical of a noir hero, Grace's private life is filled with tragedy. Going into the finale tonight: Grace has accidentally run over a young girl and cannot do her job anymore. In the finale's first hour: Grace must choose between obvilion and survival; poignant ending shows Grace walking into the ocean at night with Stand By Me playing in the background. Second hour: No, she didn't drown. She returned to the shore to find Earl, her guardian Angel waiting. Earl, the fantasy element that drew me to the show, guides Grace in all decisions save suicide; here she must make her own choice. She chooses to survive. Then she gets the ultimate case: To bring down the Devil himself. Even her fellow detectives cannot decide if they are hunting a man or pure evil itself. Well, The Devil meets Grace in a grand finale, and let's just say, it was a very satisfying finale. Loose ends were tied up and Grace got justice in a big way. Left me wanting more, which is a good thing.

Hi all - I'm reading Aftershock & Others right now and was surprised when Paul described The Select. In spite of it being in his bibliography, I completely missed it! I started reading Paul with The Keep and have now read all the Repairman Jack novels and a bunch of others (I loved Midnight Mass).

For the past decade at least, I have been doing the majority of my reading on electronic devices (palm pilot - windows mobile - iphone - kindle & sony ereaders). Alas, Paul's publishers haven't seen fit to release many of his early books as ebooks. The Select appears to be one of those books. Has anyone seen it for sale as an ebook?

Also, are there any plans for re-release of Paul's older works in ebook form? I know I'd buy all the ones I haven't read. :adore:

Thanks!

EDIT: Oh crap... I see Paul replied to post below indicating that The Select is going to be released this summer by Amazon for the Kindle. Good news! My apologies for littering up the threads with a redundant question. Smile
