Joss whedon is on top of his game with Cabin in the Woods. A love letter to the genre that takes typical horror movie tropes and turns them on their ear.

There are plenty of red herrings, twists and turns, and an ending that is so over the top that for the final 15 minutes my jaw was on the floor.

It's not scary at all, which is kind of a bummer, but it is a hell of a lot of fun and entertaining.

I am not going to get into a full-fledged review because the less you know about the film going in, the more surprised you will be.

I saw a graphic once that showed how all the "History of The World" books cross-referenced each other. Can't find that graphic anywhere now. Does Anybody out there have it or locate it online?

Thanks.

Jim Caviezel (The count of Monte Cristo, Passion of the Christ, Frequecy) not only looks the part but also has the acting chops to bring Jack to life.

Were either "The Keep" or "The Tomb" revised for the most recent (trade paper) version? Thanks

We watched the other night and I thought it was a blast. The look of the movie is simply astounding and there are several spectacular action scenes. I give it my highest recommendation.

Today I saw 3 movies in a theatre(I'm tired!). One of them were "Drive". Ryan Gosling play Los Angeles wheelman for hire, stunt driving for movie productions, and steering getaway vehicles for armed heists.

First I thought it's like Transporter movies with Jason Statham. But I was wrong. This IS one of the best movies in 2012 so far. Drive is not an action movielike Fast and furious. I thought it's something more artistic and smart. Even some bloody scenes, I felt it stylish. This is Great movie, if you don't mind the violence.

Most surprisingly Ryan Gosling has excellent acting method.

I saw this video posted somewhere and immediately thought of RJ. I can't imagine a better way of de-escalating a confrontation with a young punk. This just seems like a scene straight out of one of the books.

Revised significantly since its first printing in 1992, this apocalyptic horror thriller makes a dazzling finale to Wilson’s long-running saga of Repairman Jack and his clash with cosmic titans that began with The Tomb (1984). In modern Manhattan, and around the world, daylight hours are shrinking, signaling the malignant Rasalom’s successful deflection of the Ally, earth’s cosmic protector. When a bottomless sinkhole opens in Central Park and begins spewing forth monstrous carnivorous insects, Jack; his immortal mentor, Glaeken; and their gang of do-gooder confederates scramble to recruit a young boy endowed with miraculous healing powers and to retrieve a pair of talismanic necklaces that are their only weapons for averting the doom Rasalom has planned for the planet. Wilson grafts drive-in B-movie horrors onto a plot with metaphysical substance, and the result is a carnival funhouse ride of a story that still offers food for thought.
