I am wondering what the release date is for the Gauntlet version of Bloodline. In another thread, somebody said that they thought that it was the end of May, whereas somebody else said they thought it was April 28. I suspect that of the people who read this board, only FPW knows for sure. I do know that until very recently the Gauntlet website said that it was scheduled for release in Spring 2007, but when I checked this website today, it said it was scheduled for release in Summer 2007.

Hello All,

I apologize deeply if a thread such as this has been posted before. I am looking to purchase the Gauntlet edition of Bloodlines - mainly as I don't think I can wait till October for the regular edition. Is it worth it to purchase the slip cover? What purpose does it serve? I'm afraid I don't have any limited edition FPW books. I used to collect rare books, but don't do it much anymore.
Thanks for your help.

Dr Jon

I'm kind of getting a real kick out of this.
Just a month or so ago, I met someone on a message board for the show 'Supernatural' who just happens to be a Jack fan as well. She asked me if I had ever read Nightworld. I said no, that I would like too, but I had a hard time finding a copy. She said she had one, and if I wanted it, she would send it to me.
I said, yes, of course, I would love it, being the completely obbessed, rabid Jack lover I am.
When I get it, it turns out it is an advance uncorreced proof, from the publisher Night Harvest. Pretty cool. It's in perfect condition. No wrinkles or tears anywhere. The binding is solid, and the pages are unmarked except for the first page where there is a sales sticker marked $25.00, also $25.00 is written in pencil next to the sticker.

Then, today, while at a garage sale, I saw a book titled The Keep, and F. Paul Wilson's name. Cool, thinks I. It's only 10 cents, why the heck not. So I buy it. It is only after I have payed that I notice that this copy is a, as it says in small print at the bottom of the cover, Special Advance Reading Copy.
It too is in very good condition. The corners have very small wrinkles on them, and the top of the binding edge is ripped a little, but not enough to detract. The book is published by William Morrow and Company.

I must say, I am quite pleased with them. Nightworld was free, and The Keep only cost me 10 cents. Too awsome!
Now that I have the first and last books in the cycle, I need to find the others. I am going to a book fair in Anne Arbor, MI next month...perhapes I will get lucky!

Barry Hoffman at Gauntlet is selling it, so you may want to check it out. I already got mine.

BTW, bidding ends Tuesday morning!

The paperback page proofs are here. This is our last chance to correct errors. So, for all of you who've read it and found mistakes, please speak now or forever shuddup.

I do know that I have the change "The Scotch Whiskey Society" to "The Scotch Whisky Society." Anything else? No nit too small to be picked.

A good while ago there was a thread on the movie Primer. Most of us who watched it came away confused but still enjoyed the film anyway.

I rented Memento for the 2nd time. Not as confusing as the first time I watched it, but still not too easy to follow in many places. As before, I liked it even though it was a bit confusing.

So, what other brain straining flicks are out there that are actually good even though the confusion is/can be distracting? I need a break from the typical Hollywood formulas.

BTW, no need to mention films by Terry Gilliam. Smile

Night of the Living Dorks is a pretty funny teen-zombie flick. Not quite Shawn of the Dead good, but worth checking out if you like this sort of thing.
