If the name doesn't ring you a bell... well, even so I doubt it could be considered a spoiler.

Hello, I have decided to build a small site for The Keep - The Game. I have 3 large servers, so, it was an easy setup. It´s better to post the screenshots overthere, to not stress the forum here. I put the first screenshot. Not too much, but you can start to see the game. Of course I will not show too much because I can´t break the playability Smile Other news i will post in this thread.

Please remenber: it´s a hobby project. Do not expect a fully AAA game, because it is not. It mainly for fans.

Cheers

A while back I read the account of FPWs visit to the set of Pelts, but never saw it when it was released.

A couple days ago I came across a copy of the Masters of Horror episode on DVD and picked it up. I just now finished watching it. As usual when it comes to adaptations, I'm curious about deviations from FPW's original story.

Anyway, it was an enjoyable story, if rather gory. That, of course, is not at all surprising, considering the Dario Argento was the director. It had a rather humorous ending, too. I was amused most of all by all the "squishy" sounds.

Has anyone else seen it?

Mr FPW: what did you think of the adaptation?

(If you're wondering how I can call extreme gore like this "humorous" and "enjoyable", I guess I've been desensitized to this stuff. Perhaps age doesn't have much to do with it, but as an almost 40-something, squeamish doesn't come easily to me).

This weekend me and my girlfriend were wanting to watch some kid type holloween movies and I remembered one from when i was a kid and I could not remember what it was called. Was wondering with the vast knowledge on this board if someone could help as i looked online all weekend with no help.

The movie was released in the early 90's I beleive and it started off with child size duck things crashing a space ship on earth. There are these two kids a blonde haired little girl and a shy black kid in a duck costume. But anyways It's during holloween and the kids find them and are trying to help them get back. Also in the town is the town crazy who seems to be the only one who believes in aliens and is trying to hunt them down and stuff. But most the people in town just figure the ducks as kids in costumes. (just for reference the ducks look just like Howard the duck)

Been trying to find it and it has driven me crazy and it seems like no one has ever even heard of the movie. Any help or idea would be of great help. Smile

I went through the MobiPocket site, and couldn't find any F. Paul Wilson books. Anyone know where I can find some electronic versions to load onto my Blackberry?

Hi --

Had hoped to post this earlier. Have any of you seen this new Youtube video from some people in Canada? I was alone on Halloween, uploading a "dramatic reading" of "The Monkey's Paw" to a different site, and as I waited, I popped over to Youtube. The folks there had selected this short (ten minutes long) film called "There Are Monsters", for special distinction on Halloween and, on a whim, I clicked on it.

REALLY well done. Great camera work, simple acting. Good all the way around. And... Scary. The effect on me was so intense that I was actually a little unsettled for a while.

It rekindled my interest in well-made, short horror films, that's for certain.

The only thing that took my mind off it was playing an interview with Dan Curtis, about the creation of the first "Night Stalker" TV movie. Good ol' Carl Kolchak, can't beat him for a smile. If you get a chance, look at "There Are Monsters" at Youtube. And watch it after dark... Wink

Hi, I hope this is allowed, and if it is not, I apologize!!! I have a great FPW edition for sale. I hate to part with it but my husband and I have been out of work for 6 months and we are selling everything to keep from losing our home.

I discussed prices with a few of you nice folks a few weeks back so you may remember this.

I have a limited edition, signed and numbered copy of the VERY FIRST Gauntlet printing of The Haunted Air. The Man himself said this edition was rare (though not the most rare).

I have seen 2 others for sale but they are gone now. I am asking $700.00 or best offer, which is what the others went for.

If anyone is interested, please email me at [email protected].

Again, I hope I have not violated any rules here. I hate to part with my treasure, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Thanks!

Diana

I am shocked. It didn't seem possible.

Kevin Smith made the PERFECT comedy. Maybe it took the combination of the View Askew guys and the Judd Apatow crew but it was 100% perfect. It had cameos and locations for George Romero fans ( such as Tom Savini and the Monroeville Mall where the original Dawn of the Dead was filmed.)

It had more nudity than I've seen in real pornos, including full forntal of Jason Mewes. This was something I prayed I would never see.

Despite the raunchiness and Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks brilliant comedic styles, it had MAJOR heart. It was a love story, a date movie and everything else.

The one liners were nonstop.

I used a trick they taught us in college. Time the gaps between audience laughter. The most for 99% of the movie was 8 seconds! I have never seen a movie where the entire audience NEVER stopped laughing... until now.

Kevin Smith, you deserve an oscar. Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks deserve Oscars. Hell, you have Justin Long and the dude who plays Superman as a gay couple/ Gay porn stars. The casting was brilliant!

If you like comedies like superbad, knocked up, the Forty year old virgin, etc, SEE THIS MOVIE! It makes them look like nothing!

Did anyone notice that the first few chapters of By the Sword are exactly word for word the same as the first jack section of Nightworld? Any ideas or thoughts as to why FPW would do that? Ive almost all of his work and this is the first time that ive ever seen him (or anyother author) basically copy a section of one book and paste it in another. would love to hear any ideas or thoughts on what might be brewing.

repairman jack is my hero.
