End Of The Line is a bloody, gutsy, and damn good low-budget film. It is about a cult who go on a murderous rampage aboard a subway in Montreal. This one takes no prisoners and is not for the faint of heart; it is the bloodiest movie I've seen in a long while and has a couple of very disturbing scenes. The only drawback is a couple of the actors leave a little to be desired and some dialogue is a bit weak. For those who like their horror hard core, this is a great option.

Since last night, "The Lost Room" has begun on Super Drama TV. Has anyone seen this show?

I just saw 1st episode, but I can't wait until next week. It's very mysterious drama. If David Lynch made supernatural thriller, it'd be like this.

One key. You can use that Key to any door. You go into motel's room once, then you can go to anywhere from another door. On the beach, into the stadium, anywhere you want.

That's fantastic! Until you lost your daughter in the room...

*Yawn* a very interesting concept ruined by nothing happening. It started out interesting enough with a would-be documentarian hooking up with a real one. They set about interviewing some of the undead, who don't necessarily eat human flesh and aren't necessarily mindless. It depends on how they died and how much damage was done to the mind, I s'pose, but they interviewed 4 of the living impaired and it seemed all well and good until I realized something: I don't care about a single one of these dead people. I mean, they're just not interesting. There's little to no conflict with them. The only one who had anything remotely interesting going on was the one woman who was desperate to find out who she was. But the vegan, boring; the store clerk, boring; and the activist, boring. The only thing that was even remotely intriguing was the yearly party they were talking about where they all gather and do something where humans are not invited (que eerie music). Here's the true shocker:
nothing happened. Somebody might have been devoured by zombies, but it may have just been theater. And then the vegan attacks one of the documentarians at the end and he eventually turns into a zombie.
It just could have been handled so much better than it was. If they'd bothered to develop these characters some, give them something interesting to do and say. Give them a story apart from being a zombie that someone might have cared about. They took a cool idea and just shat it out.

One of my all time favorites has died! I'll never forget him in the bloopers from Cannonball Run: "These bleeds?". He was a funny man. I'll miss you Dom.

Today I saw Rain Fall "the movie". Based on the novel by Barry Eisler.

I'm surprised that nobody mentioned about this film. Yeah, well, maybe famous actor is Gary Oldman only. Perhaps you don't know Kippei Shiina, Kyoko Hasegawa, Akira Emoto.

Actually, I couldn't see Kippei Shiina as John Rain. Shiina's acting was terrible. I don't admit he is John Rain. Gary Oldman was good. He was good for Willaim Holtzer.

But I liked story, of course. I like Barry Eisler's novel, Rain Fall. Barry Eisler lived in Japan, so he knows about Japan and cultures and language.

This is NOT like Jason Bourne movie. Sorry for action movie fan. There are No gun action scenes.

Just wondering if there was one of the special/limited editions of the Repairman Jack books that stands out above the rest.

I've been looking at Gauntlet's site, and wanted to get some feedback from people who may have them.

Thanks

Hey everyone, a friend just sent me this link:

http://www.horrorworld.org/aftershock.htm

It's a contest to win a signed copy of Aftershock & Others plus the three 'missing' stories. I don't know how that will work. But still.

I've just finished reading Aftershock & Others (excellent stuff - it's always great to catch up on your short stories - they're not that easy to get hold of over here in Sunny England) and wanted to ask about something I read in the interstitial material.
In 2003/2004 you mention a 'cozy medical mystery' novel that you weren't able to sell. Two things sprung to mind. First off, why on Earth would nobody buy it? I'm guessing that you wouldn't just throw some chucked-together tat out there and try to pass it off as a sell-able novel, so why was nobody interested? I mean, surely your name alone would be enough to sell a story these days, wouldn't it?
And secondly (and yes, probably somewhat predictably) will this short novel ever see the light of day?
(And a bonus 'thirdly': are there any more unsold novels cluttering up your attic space that need to see the light of day?!)
Thanks in advance.
