This thread stays on topic, relatively speaking, so it's pretty simple to follow. Since you didn't include any post it's hard to determine what you don't understand.

You did say in another thread that you don't necessarily read what is on the web. I've always found that it's helpful to read what folks have written in order to understand them.Big Grin

Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

So now that we know who will be playing Jack, do we start a new WHO WILL BE THE DIRECTOR? thread?

My vote so far is: Paul Greengrass, he did a good job with the Bourne movies...

I think a director thread is a good idea.

The director is the holdup. The looming directors and actors strike (along with the writers) next year has really screwed up Beacon's hunt for a director. It's a very complicated situation, which I sort of understand (after an hour-long conversation with the head of production), but that's what's behind the delay. They've been talking to some big names plus some cool Chinese and Korean directors.

I was joking, evidently not being funny. Apologies.

Good luck with the search. The director will make or break the movie.

Chinese or Korean director, huh? I have to admit it, I thought Kung-Fu Hustle was a great movie...the director was Stephen Chow. Anyone else see that film?

I saw it. It was silly, but I like it. Big Grin

OK, without rereading all the pages...I'm lazy and in law school (too much reading as it is)...Is Reynolds still on as Jack, I hope so...I think that would be amazing!

Holy heck, the things I've missed! Jack's actor identity out! Not that I know who Ryan Reynolds is or if he's a good actor, but I like the choice from what I just read up on him about.

Has there been talk of how the Rakoshi and the whole Indian culture from the book will be changed because it's filming in China? I tried to do a forum search but didn't find something specific to that.

There was some very brief passing mention -- on the board a while back -- about it being filmed in Australia, and (I think) China being changed back to India.
