ccosborne3 Wrote:He's a great choice to play Jack. Also has enough star power to keep the whole shebang from falling in on itself. I have a couple of questions about the movie and hope someone can answer them so I don't have to reread the endless previous thread.

1. Is the story going to be from The Tomb or is it more of a compilation of all the Jack stuff from all the books?

It's THE TOMB . . . renamed. If it's successful, there will be other movies. Most likely made from subsequent novels. As FPW says, he hopes that RJ will become a franchise character.

Quote:2. Is it going to be set in NYC or are they going to go somewhere thats cheaper to film?

You mean, is it going to actually be filmed in NYC. Probably not. It sounds like it will be filmed in Australia. The "setting" however, will be New York City.

Quote:3. Who's going to play Gia

That hasn't been announced yet.

Quote:and does she get killed off?

Of course not! Why would she get killed?

Are you angry? Your post lends me to believe you are angry, but you don't sound angry. Just a question, because normally people don't type in super-large red font. Anyways, welcome to the board. Rolleyes

Great to hear Ryan will be Jack, he was my #1 choice! But why is Beacon dragging thier fricking heels on the announcement? I just saw at Variety.com that he is signed to star in "Adventureland" by Greg Mottola (not sure of the spelling there) whose last was "Superbad". Filming starts next month in Pittsburgh. If the cards fall right, Reynolds could find himself on a roll, as he seems to not distance himself from the comedy stuff- meaning Jack may be his "breakout" dramatic/action role.

He is going to be a busy boy

Ryan has just signed up for Adventureland (hot on the heals of the proposal)

The man is certainly in demand

I think he is a great choice and one I had hoped for as soon as he was mentioned as a possibility

We all knew that Maggers would eventually steer this discussion onto the subject of the size/girth of Ryan's manhood, though I must say I never expected it to be this contagious!! Big Grin

I accidentally dropped a load of worthless change in the street. I was going to just leave it there but a burly policeman lumbered towards me and said, "You'd better pick that up, son."

I hate coppers.
