I have not gone through all the threads, but have not seen any mention of what you are working on. Have read everything you have written solo - still have the older and newer novels that you co-wrote with others to tide me over - but WHAT'S COMING NEXT!!!!!

Whew - deep breath!!!

Thanks, Steve

I don't generally join forums but I have been totally captivated by Repairman Jack, I wish the series would never end but of course they do, what a wonderful ride it has been, still waiting for The Dark at the End, back ordered from the company I order from, and am waiting impatiently!! F. Paul Wilson, congrats to you, what a wonderful character, I have just devoured these books. I think I will go on to Young Jack and see what those bring! Thanks so much for the wonderful reading, I remain totally hooked!!!!:o

So I just read Fear City, which inspired me to read the whole Secret History again. I'm on Black Wind currently (which is even better the 2nd time around), and I noticed quite the similarity between what the monks do to the children in Black Wind and what the terrifying torturer does to her victims in Fear City. Was this intentional?

Paul, I have a confession to make to you. I have not read NIGHTWORLD! That's right, I said it! I still haven't. I know, it's hard to believe. I have a paperback copy bought in 1994 that still sits on my bookshelf. I bought it sometime after I discovered The Keep, and started reading all your books I could find. Don't remember when I learned it was the last book, but when I did I just couldn't bring myself to read it. Then you did the edit/reissue, and now I have a copy of the NEW version sitting next to the original...taunting me...

I am SOOOO glad you came out with the Early Years books. They are just kickass! Someday I will be able to bring myself to read the end of Jack, but I am sorry, I am still not ready...maybe next year...or the next...

Hope everyone has a great year.

Any resolutions or goals you want to share?

I'm hoping to finally finish the home renovations. We've spent 3 years, and a lot of energy, dealing with planned and unplanned projects. They need to be Done or I may not end this year with my sanity (or spouse, lol!).

I pretty much buy what I want, but I'm hoping some goodies from my wishlist might still be on their way. We have two more family celebrations this week.

Anyone here get new books? I sent my nephew Good Omens and The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (he already has the YA Jack books, I sent personalized copies as they came out).

Hello there FPW;
I've thoroughly enjoyed the books. Nearing the end now, only two to go. I hate to see it end!

I was wondering what sort of research you had to do or what inspired the Septimus Order. I've studied actual occult/fraternal groups for years, and I see the obvious parallels not only with Freemasonry but with other esoteric/occult orders, and the personalities involved. The OTO and Aleister Crowley come to mind, as well as symbols that reflect them and even older occult thought like John Dee. I loved the way you pulled from your sources (whatever they be) and put together such a formidable Order.

What were your main inspirations for this?

Check out the 75% off specials at Borderlands Press. There are some signed limited FPW deals. I took advantage. Smile

Hey all;
I've poked a little on the forum, but I'm afraid the threads that answer this question may have spoilers in them.

I'm on Reprisal right now, and the last three I have to finish out (fatal error, dark, and nightworld) are all in audio format.

I was reading that revisions were made to some or at least one of these? Does the audio have the most up to date version of the stories? I do love to read actual books (I swear!), but my job gives me a lot of windshield time, and the audios really make the miles fly.

Thanks in advance.

So got my Fear City yesterday but I'm in the throes of a kitchen remodel. I hate when what I need to do supercedes what I want to do. Still managed to make a 150 page dent in it before responsibility kicked in.
