Bloodline Page 193

Back at the Indo- Pak shop he grabbed a window seat and watched the street while listening to a pair of forever-virgin college kids at a nearby table argue whether Spider-Man could beat Wolverine in a fight

Wolverine would kick Spiderman's ass, 'nuff said!

I like Logan as much as anyone, but Wolverine wouldn't win against Marvel's number one hero. That would be lousy marketing.

Wolverine doesn't have spidey-strength! He just heals fast, has ultra-strong bones, and those nifty blades that shoot out of his knuckles. All Spidey would have to do is jump all around, web Logan's wrists together, then web Wolverine's entire upper body, then hang him up from the lamp post.

Game over.

I have to disagree. While Spidey does have his powers to aid him, Wolverine is a trained killer. He's spent nearly two centuries cultivating his animal instincts and reflexes. While spidey is physically stronger and more agile, I think in the end Wolverines natural ability, instinct, training, and experience would win out. Hell, the guy went toe to toe with the Hulk.

And, to clarify, we are talking about comic book Spider-Man, whose webbing can run out. Not the big screen Spidey with some kind of mutates web glands in his wrists.

FPW - is this what the forever virigns' argument sounded like when you were writing it?

Spidey went to the mat with the Hulk too. Juiced-up in a =monstrous experiment=! "I KO'ed the Hulk! And I also broke my hand...and my wrist...and probably my elbow and my shoulder. Great. ANYBODY--FF, Avengers--PLEASE get back in town!"

Spidey has a working brain.

Look who you’ve been pitting him against. A cigar chomping guy with a weird hair thing happening who grunts more than speak, and a giant green guy who’s idea of a big word is “SMASH!”

Spidey not only has reflexes and strength, but he’s got the mind of a genius. This guy whooped on supervillans before he even hit puberty.

Movie Spiderman doesn't count, I agree.

Spidey would win, of course. But don't 'dis the Wolverine. I have an NM copy of Wolverine #1 and would like to see Logan go far.

I'm Jewish....but so is my room mate, Rosey Palm.

Thankfully my girlfriend can see past my flashes of comic book dorkdom, did I mention I was in the marching band in highschool and played D&D...I was a 'late bloomer'
