Well, I was thinking official in terms of a notice on the production company’s website or some sort of press conference with a bunch of people smiling and shaking hands. Not official as in being shot in the back of the head and dumped in a swamp for allegedly looking at one of your women with less than pure thoughts in mind (something that I would never confess to doing).

My choice for an early 30's mom is Charlize Theron. Ryan Reynolds is 32 this October and Theron is 33 this August.

She's done almost evey role immaginable and after playing a thief (Brazillian Job, 2009) and a bounty hunter (Jinx, 2009), a bit softer role as a mom might be what the doctor ordered.

Plus, having an oscar winner would also give some star-power to the cast.

I can already see her playing the POed blond goddess that wants Jack but won't put up with his job.

For those wanting to see Mr. Reynolds stretch his acting chops, I suggest checking out The Nin9s. It is an intriguing little drama in three parts so we get to see him as three distinct characters and he is excellent in all three(and ladies you get clean-shaven, stubbly, and bearded all in one movie). The movie also features the fantastic Hope Davis, Melissa McCarthy and a great potential Vicky in Elle Fanning(good chemistry between her and Reynolds in their scenes together).

But the best thing about the movie is that it is wholly original; I'd put it in your queue.
